Hilton Garden Inn Silver Spring North

The property is fine and the staff are fine. The beds are AWFUL. They need to learn the difference between a queen bed and a full bed. There were two «queen» beds in the room and both were sagging in the middle. It was impossible to get a good night sleep and we woke up with aching necks and backs.

Walking in to the hotel they definitely have the ‘wow’ factor going on. Breakfast area on the right, comfy couches and chairs to the left, the registration desk is toward the back. The staff is efficient and polite.
The room is a comfortable size, the bed a firm pillow top with down pillows. One chair that is comfortable with ottoman, a desk (with computer outlets) and a desk chair that looks odd but is comfortable with good lumbar support. Fridge, microwave and keurig in room are some of the reasons we chose to stay here.
Easy to find, the hotel is located within walking distance of several chain restaurants such as Five Guys, Panera, Chick Filet and IHOP. There is also a 7Eleven directly across the parking lot from the lobby.
Disappointed breakfast is not included. $ 10.95 per person may be fine if you eat a large breakfast but I’m a coffee and muffin sort of girl so I’m going to pass. The indoor pool is a nice touch. No laps here but nice for kids to play or an adult to float around and relax if you get the room to yourself. There is also a small gym. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the price is reasonable for the area.

The staff got back to me on Unilocal regarding one of the minor issues we encountered during our stay. That kind of responsiveness is exactly what every business should strive for. Bumping up the review to five stars based on this alone. Keep up the great work!

Great place to stay when visiting UMD. Close to campus and plenty of places to eat right next to it. Defiantly worth the price which is still inexpensive. Only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast wasn’t included but that’s my only complaint. Rooms clean, bed was nice and had a fridge and microwave. I’ll be returning.

Husband and I stayed here with our two kids while touring DC. It is not as close to the Metro as I expected (15 min drive) and downtown is about 30 – 40 min drive. Staff are super friendly, rooms clean and have all the amenities we needed. However pool was very small, no jacuzzi and breakfast was awful. Don’t buy the breakfast option; go to Panera or IHOP next door.

The room was fairly large, comfortable, and clean. Included was a refrigerator, microwave, and iron. Staff has obviously been trained to be friendly. Located conveniently at the edge of a shopping center with several restaurants.
Food — breakfast was available for $ 10.95. We passed the first morning, but enjoyed it the second day. It includes the usual fruit/​bagel buffet, but also made to order omelet, french toast, etc. Along with sides and beverages. Very good, and worth it. However, we got wings at the bar the night before — no meat on them! Save your appetite for breakfast.

Very impressed. My husband and I have stayed at some of the finest hotels in the world (Grand Hotel Europe in St Petersburg, Palace Hotel in NYC, etc) and for what it is, this Hilton gets 5 Stars from me. Immaculate, fresh, friendly, and cheap. What more can you ask for from a hotel? Would be happy to stay here again. In fact, I would look forward to it. They even have Fox News as the default station in the lobby. Thank you, Hilton!

Stayed here while visiting family in the Silver Spring Area. The HGI was a price leader and the attention to service is excellent. They worked to insure the comfort of my family and were serious about maintaing the 100% service satisfaction commitment. This will be my go to place when staying in the Silver Spring Area.

Nice comfortable HGI… looks the same in every city so luckily no surprises! This one is 2 yrs old. Still in nice shape. Maybe the price is reasonable for the area but still thought it was pricy. Glad work pays. It stirs in the parking lot of a few stores and restaurants… nothing great… but do-​able. I would stay here again for work but not for vacation.

Hi! I’ve been here on business for 3 weeks now and the staff is simply wonderful! I decided to eat in the hotel tonight and WOW!!! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and the chef asked my why I ordered it. I explained that I’ve been craving italian. He asked me if I preferred spinach, broccoli or mushrooms. I said tht I liked them all, so he made the BEST pasta dish I have had in a long time! So very very good!
They also put out fresh made flavored waters and baked cookies nightly. The watermelon cucumber water was wonderful! The chefs and staff are wonderful people and very helpful!
Thanks to them for making my stay so great!!!
