I have no problems with Dr. Levy himself; he is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The staff, however, are hit or miss. And what has made me decide to find a new doctor is that after spending 45 minutes picking out frames and getting fitted for glasses, since I couldn’t order them right away(they don’t place the order until you can pay) they said to just call when I could pay and they’d place the order. So a couple weeks later I called, and they had no record of my information. Not only did they not have a record of which frames I had picked, but any measurements they had taken, such as the PD, were gone. When I asked about it, the person on the phone just brusquely said that when people can’t order right away they just write it on a scrap of paper, it doesn’t get put in the person’s file, and it must have just gotten thrown away(said as if this happens frequently). I was appalled.

Poor customer service and overpriced! I had a bad experience with the office staff over something that was their mistake. They refused to provide me with any assistance to correct the matter.

I made a Monday appointment with Dr. Levy two weeks in advance only to have it canceled the Friday before because Dr. Levy would be out the entire next week. If it was a family emergency I would have understood, but no explanation was given. So, of course, I figure it’s a last minute golfing trip. Anyway, I decided to reschedule and guess what happened two days before my appointment… that’s right, he canceled AGAIN. This time, the receptionist said that Dr. Levy had been in a serious accident and would need to reschedule. Totally understandable but the damage was done. I wanted a quick eye check-up and all I got was the run around. So, either the doctor has horrible bad luck or his receptionist is a complete airhead and books him on days he won’t/can’t be in. Needless to say, I won’t be meeting Dr. Levy any time soon — I made an appointment with a different office. Two strikes and Dr. Levy is out.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 6 and contacts since I was 14, so I’ve definitely seen my fair share of eye docs in my life. I picked Dr. Levy because the office was close to my workplace and because they take my insurance. I’m so glad I did! He was one of the nicest, most thorough doctors I’ve met with in a long time. He took the time to listen to me and did his job without dropping a beat. Everyone in the office was friendly and polite, and I felt(mentally, as well as physically) comfortable the whole time I was there. Thumbs up!
