Med Express

Me and my dad came here, which is so good because he live right here at Aspen hill, And the service was excellent, clean and friendly.

I went without an appointment on a Wednesday evening. I was seen fairly quickly. The staff was friendly and professional. I had also been about a month ago and had a half an hour wait — again with no appointment. I was VERY pleased. I could even get my prescription filled there in just a few minutes. I would highly recommend. Also, I had first been to Minute Clinic, both times, but my conditions were not able to be seen by them — in one case it was a tick bite that already had the bullseye. Minute clinic ould do a tick bite if it was just a day or two, but not as far progressed as mine. The Minute clinic is in the Glenmont CVS — I would recommend them, too for more simple things. Med Express can do lab work — take blood, do xrays etc. ..

I called and made an appointment for my son to go to Med Express on a Sunday morning because his ear was hurting. His appointment was for 10:40, and we were not seen until 12:20. Four people were seen ahead of us. I do not know if they had appointments, or if they were walk-​ins. This company should take the word «express» out of their name! The receptionist turned on the TV in the waiting room. The TV had a horrible connection, and it kept stuttering through a tennis match for more than an hour. It was incredibly annoying, and someone finally asked that she just turn it off. There were few magazines, and they were months old.
The nursing staff was fine & friendly. The doctor’s visit was so quick, that I wondered why we were waiting for almost two hours for our turn. He prescribed an antibiotic drop for my son’s ear infection. When I brought the prescription to the drug store, they found that the doc had not written the number of days the drop should be administered. I looked up the drug online to find information about it, and that’s when I found out something that disturbed me. The doc prescribed the drop be given 4 times a day, and the usual dose for adults and children is only twice a day. I will follow up with my son’s regular pediatrician tomorrow. I don’t think the doctor did a good job, and I will never go to Med Express again.
