My son had phase one completed at DeMarcos and Tilken. We did not interview other orthodontists which I regret. We were referred to that office by our dentist. The office is very nicely updated although their seating area inside the main room is inadequate for the number of patients they see at one time. Some of the staff who work with my son were not very nice/​friendly and none of them ever gave me a clear picture of the next step in his orthodontic treatment plan. I was quoted over $ 4,000 for phase one which I was told included top and bottom teeth but the bottom teeth were never touch. They overbook patients and we end up waiting at least 20 mins, normally half an hour and a few times almost an hour for an appointment that I never know how long or quick it will take because they are horrible at telling patients/​families what to expect!!! I think they know you have signed away your life with them so they don’t have to worry about customer service or communicating effectively with you. I was not pleased with the level of explanation by Dr. Tilken– she seemed to just say enough to confuse you more. It is very disappointing to pay so much money and not feel like we got the level of expertise and medical advice that should be included. We have phase two coming up and notice the appliance they put in is preventing his canines from coming in correctly. I am looking into other offices for the phase two.

As a healthcare professional, I am very picky about my medical care and the care of my kids. I interviewed a few orthodontists and chose Drs. Tilken and DeMarco for my daughter’s braces. We have been seeing them for 1.5 years and have only had excellent experiences. The all-​female practice runs so smoothly — we never even have to sit in the waiting room — they call us back right away every time. They have enough appointments after school so my daughter has hardly missed any school. The staff is friendly and the Drs. are extremely competent. Mimi and Kathy always make my daughter laugh and make the quick visits entertaining. We have had to schedule a couple of urgent visits and they saw us right away and greeted us with smiles. I highly recommend this practice and will return with my second child later this year.
