My orthopedist referred me to NRH for physical therapy. He gave me a list of their locations and the one in the Wheaton Plaza North office building was the closest to my home. When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was very pleasant and tried to get me an appointment relatively quickly, but I explained my condition is chronic so no rush. The day before my appointment I received a reminder call asking that I arrive 30 minutes before my appointment time for new patient registration. Well, now I know why. A lot of pages of forms to fill out regarding my health history, insurance, and pain measurement assessment. The front desk employees were pleasant and I was called back by my physical therapist on time. He was very thorough and professional, and even chuckled at some of my lame jokes. Based on my doctor’s assessment and his physical findings, he started me on some exercises with more to follow. So out comes my dusty exercise mat, but at least my visit to NRH physical therapy was relatively easy.
