spent $ 32 for one large extra cheese pizza and one surprisingly tiny cheeseburger sub (which the shop just decided to douse in marinara sauce which I never asked for but ok). aside from the meal being extremely overpriced, the cheeseburger sub was awful and the pizza was just okay. seriously the meat on that cheeseburger sub was like grade F. def not worth $ 32. the sub was so gross! have to repeat that. will def not be going back here!

We got the lunch combo after black Friday shopping. The fries would have been better without the seasoning. I am not sure what is in the mix of seasoning. It made the fries inedible. The pizza was not great either.

Ohhh boy!!! Delivery guy god bless him is 97 years old. He called me 3 times and wanted to know if I could meet him outside. Parked his car on the side walk. As for the food, got a salad with no lettuce, pizza was fairly decent great sauce and big slices. I would have enjoyed my food better if it wasn’t delivered in a trash bag. WHO DOES THAT.

Took a walk around the neighborhood today and found this gem. The pizza was excellent! True New York style! They had a lunch special with 2 slices, a whopping number of perfectly cut crisp fries, and a large soda for $ 7.99. This was plenty enough for two people to eat. Locally owned AND they deliver! My new lunch and pizza delivery spot.

Pizza is not just good for kosher, it’s probably the best plain cheese pizza I’ve ever had full stop. Whilst eating your pizza you can also appreciate all the great art.

A small hole in the wall type of place. Not the place to go for a date, but great to get a quick slice or two. Service is immediate and never too busy. Easy to park and pizza tastes pretty good. The Cajun fries are definitely a big seller and tastes great!

This is the best KOSHER pizza in the silver spring-​rockville area!
The people are very nice and warm, the waiting time for the pizza to be ready is about 10 – 15 minutes and they have the well done version (its my favorite :)
Overall three is not many kosher pizzas in the area so that makes nut house the best option

As someone who was raised in a kosher home in the Silver Spring area this place has been a mainstay in the Jewish community for ages. I remember going here as a kid and I still continue to go here as an adult. Perhaps nostalgia makes me a bit biased in my review, but I just love this pizza. It offers a thin crust pizza (not exceptionally filling) and it’s kinda a seedy hole in the wall type place but it’s just delicious. They have awesome calzones and a (fake) meatball sub that’s pretty tasty. I also enjoy the fries that they coat in their own «secret seasoning» (there’s definitely cinnamon in there) and they have a great (albeit incredibly oily and unhealthy) dessert offering of fried dough coated in powdered sugar. Give it a try the next time your hungry and in the Wheaton area.

I knew this place was kosher, but the Nut House PIzza website says it is open until 9 p.m. even on Fridays. Between that and the fact that Ben’s Kosher Deli in New York is open on Friday nights, I decided it was worth the drive from Rockville this past Friday. I was wrong. I hoped I’d at least be able to get a pie to go before sundown, but when I arrived, the place was closed and appeared to have been closed for several hours. My issue is not that the place closes early for Shabbat; Max’s — my go-​to in Wheaton — is only open from 11 to 2 on Fridays and does not open at all on Saturday night, but the Max’s website shares the accurate schedule. Nut House must get enough business that alienating potential customers is not a concern. I’ll probably give it another chance and actually try the pizza, but Nut House already has a strike against them.

Kosher Pizza is the mainstay at this simple parlor restaurant which has a tunnel oven and mostly takeout pizza which is in spite of my rating quite good. Other items include freshly slivered French fries, knishes and various vegetarian versions of sandwiches, some named after members of the local community.
It is small with a few tables and chairs and overall décor shows considerable wear and really needs to be addressed and improved. In particular fresh bottles of spices would be a huge help to improve the eat-​in or takeout experience (which can be rather unpleasant) and my rating.
It is located in a strip center in Silver Spring, MD (Wheaton) with limited free off street parking.

Awful. The crust is pre-​cooked. The pizza was done in less than 5 minutes, therefore the cheese wasn’t even melted and the veggies were soggy. Did I mention the «pepperoni» was microwaved? I get that it’s Kosher, but really? Microwaved?
We couldn’t even finish a slice of this pizza. Better off having gone to Ledo’s where at least the pizza is hot when it comes out of the oven…

The pizza crust has to be some of the best I have ever had. Anywhere. This is mostly a take-​out type of place. It is really unassuming and you really wouldn’t be able to guess that the pizza is so good here. It is strictly vegetarian (Kosher) with some faux meat options. Personally, I prefer to order it to go and put some peperroni slices on it when I get home. Sshhh, don’t tell any one.

A friend and I went to Nut House Pizza tonight in search for a decent, reasonably priced pie – and we found it at Nut House (I would love to know the origin of the name…). The atmosphere is very casual, with self-​serve drinks in the fridge and we found ourselves sucked into a cage fight on the TV. The pizza we ordered (half white, half pepperoni – note that they are kosher and use veggie meats, which I don’t mind) was delicious – the crust perfectlly crisp and the cheese melted just right. I see from a sign that they deliver – and I’ll be taking advantage of that in the future. Thanks!

Decent simple NY style pizza joint. Quibbles: cheese a bit too brown and crust a bit dried out. The crust may be because I got the last slice late in the lunch window. I suspect the cheese is a mix, not just moz. Sauce was overly sweet for my taste. I definitely plan to return for another round.
Guy throwing pies was a real New Yorker. Note this is an orthodox operation — shut from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday.
Round 2: full pie to order. Sorry, the sauce is just odd, like its made with tomato paste. Dough was seriously messed up… almost raw on the inside. It may have something to do with the roll-​through oven, which probably doesn’t get hot enough. Anyhow, I won’t be going back, which I’m sad to say, since the guy is a real mensch.
