Office Depot

So sad this branch is closing next Saturday. There is next to nothing left in the store, but I did get an eight pack of easel markers for $ 2.24 and 2015 planner pages for $ 2.19.
The closest one now is at New Hampshire Ave. I really liked this store. Thankfully all the employees got placed in other stores. I will miss the convenience of this location to the proximity of my home.

This Office Depot went above and beyond in helping me get a passport photo for my 6-​month old daughter. They were happy to work together, while my cousin held her (with a white board in between them) and I stood behind the employee/​photographer Rodrigo making silly faces and noises, trying to get her to smile. It took a bit to do and then the battery on the camera died, deleting the photo we worked so hard to get her to smile for, but Rodrigo was more than willing to do it all again. In the end, we got a super cute photo for my baby’s first passport thanks to his diligence. A friend of mine was just telling me how so many places turned her away when she needed a passport photo for her baby boy, saying «they don’t work with babies,» so I thought I might encounter the same issue. Fortunately for me, Office Depot was my first stop and it worked out perfectly. Much appreciated, guys!

The best thing about this location is its closeness to a parking lot. Other than that, thats it. I went in today for something simple. No one greeted me although they had ample staff near the door and when I approached a team member for assistance I walked away only more confused because he was unsure of his answer. This is a small sized Office Depot in comparison to others I’ve seen and their selection was limited. I bought nothing, left the store and went straight to Staples where the staff are friendlier and knowledgeable.

As far as these go, this OD is straight.
They are always, repeat ALWAYS, well-​staffed. I’ve never shopped here without someone offering to help me find something. I think they must have fairly high turnover though, because I never see the same staff members, and I’m in there every month. But, the service is always professional and I have never waited in line to check out.
The only downside is this is a pretty small location. Although they are usually well-​stocked with what they do carry, they don’t carry a lot.

I love this store because it is well stocked an close to where I live. My experience today, however, was terrible. While checking out, the clerk was so amazingly rude to my wife and I. He clearly had a chip on his shoulder — perhaps a racist thing, perhaps something else. Regardless, we’ll be going to Staples next time.
