Very good breakfast for cheap price. I will definitely go back again. The breakfast was served hot and fast. The waiter was kind and attentive. I plan to try the lunch next time.

Early Saturday morning. Everything is peaceful and quiet. The weather is perfect for a spring morning. Warm in the sun… with a slight breeze. I’ve already gone out for my morning walk. And I have a little free time before I have to pick my son up from a play date. I’m in the mood for breakfast but feel like treating myself instead of cooking. I don’t want the typical IHOP. Partially, because I’m not a fan of the place. Partially because I don’t want to deal with the wait and chaos. And, unfortunately, the closest Cracker Barrel is much too far for me to drive there and back in time to pick my son up from his play date. So, I check Unilocal for breakfast establishments near me. Among them, with a high star rating, is Patty’s Place. So, I hop my car, put on my GPS and in less than 15 minutes I’m inside Patty’s, standing at the counter, looking over the breakfast menu. I decide on & order the steak and eggs(carne y huevos) and turn to pick a seat. It’s a small establishment with about 6 tables. Each seating four. But I like it. There’s Latin radio playing in the background and maybe three other patrons indulging in what seems like their usual Saturday breakfast. When my food arrives, the steak is a little over cooked, burnt actually, but it’s okay because even with that, it’s well seasoned; as are the home fries. So much so, I don’t even need to add salt or pepper to my over easy eggs. The manager comes over to check on me a couple of times during my meal to make sure I’m OK. And to see if I need anything else. Which surprises me because in my experience with establishments this small, generally, once you sit down you’re kind of on your own. I enjoyed my meal, the atmosphere and the fact that it’s such a quiet, welcoming unsuspecting establishment. Parking was not an issue… as there are about 3 spaces immediately out front. Plus, parking on either side of the building. No meters or hassle. I’m looking forward now to going back for lunch another day to try their tacos and other offerings.

I have never had el salvadorian food before and I will never go without it again. This place is a hole in the wall, on our way to see a museum outside DC, but I can speak highly enough about it. We got a few states, be it for being women, lesbians, or just out of towners I don’t know, but it didn’t seem hostile. But after I got my food I just didn’t care anymore. It was so good I talked about it all day. I think I got the Plato jeny, and the chorizo and plantains just blew me away. I would absolutely go out of my way to go back if I’m ever in the area again.

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday and had some of the best Salvadoran food I have ever had. All fresh and home made and the prices are great. A small family run restaurant, Patty’s place has friendly efficient service. No it s not fancy, but homey good down home cooking! The best Horchata I have ever had anywhere hands down!

Yummy fast fresh food love going here when I’m in town. Will recommend to go grab a bite to eat. Mrs. & Mr. Patty are two very nice people and will give you a home feeling when stepping into the establishment.

If you want fast cheap good food Pattys place is where to go. Located in Silver Spring this Latin grill is like no other with the hot Line ready on the go for the lunch rush and the homemade taste you get from your mom back in Latin America.

Rough around the edges, Patty’s has a real desperation feel to it. This diner is located in a ‘food desert’ so it will keep serving substandard dishes of breakfast and lunch despite my dismal review. I played it safe with black coffee and an omelette. Simply awful-both the cup a joe and eggs were flavorless. No amount if cholula could revive this meal. Never going back-ever.

Food was very good and cheap. Very casual and small but if you want a quick bite of yummy el Salvadorian food this will hit the spot. Fed the fam for $ 23 and we were stuffed.

Good tasting vegetable burrito, with rice bean and side of vegetables. 6.75, I think it was a good value considering the qty of food. Walked here while waiting for tires at radial tires

Food was fine, but this is not a comfortable place. We had 5 people and there were no tables that seated more than 4. Luckily the place was empty, so we stole a chair. Incredibly annoying fruit flies buzzed around our heads the entire time. Service was friendly and timely enough, except for those fruit flies making us feel like the food took WAY longer than it did. Décor was in need of serious updating — bright plastic tablecloths didn’t help. Meals were decent and cheap — not huge portions, nothing special. We won’t go back.

I came in the early afternoon after lunch, so there was just food sitting out under some heat lamps. I ordered two sad little pupusas but they tasted much better than they looked. The gentleman who helped me was very nice. It was pretty much the only place to walk to while waiting for my tire to be patched at Radial Tires and I would definitely recommend it in that situation.

We decided to give this neighborhood haunt a try. When you walk in, you immediately get a grandma-cafeteria vibe, but that can be cool. The highlight for me was the crispy bacon. We ordered the Desayuno Americano and Juevos Rancheros. Plenty of bottled juices in the fridge to choose from. Pretty good food and cheap to boot. Service was very friendly.

Best local breakfast under $ 5! Came to this casual corner place with my husband a couple weeks back and ordered the Desayuno Americano for $ 4.95– delicious eggs cooked to order, crispy bacon, and their home fries– agonizingly good. Have not been able to tear myself away from those since, but hub has happily tried their plantains, chorizo, and beans in subsequent trips. The owner/staff are superbly friendly, and this sort of place reminds me of why we love living in Silver Spring, the locally owned shops that remember who you are(and what you like). Definitely give this place a go for a delicious, affordable breakfast or otherwise!
