My son, 6, loves this place. It is fun and appropriate for him, and yet I can see that it is definitely a place that«grows» with the musicians as they age into their teens and beyond. We watched the teenagers practice for their concert at the Filmore, and they were having a blast. All the while, the place has the look and feel of a flat in Liverpool.

Awsome. Great. So glad we found this place. This is an excellent place for young musicians to connect with other musicians and to work in Band like settings and perform. Forrest at the Silver Spring location is really great and he extract the most out of the kids in a really positive environment. My son has been to many music schools and lessons over the years and this really is an outstanding program. The best part is it really has many kids who are really musically inclined, talented and willing to work in a group setting. The performances are very impressive and fun to watch. I can not say enough good things about it. The price is very reasonable and they don’t pressure you to subscribe to packages or long term contracts — if you pull out you don’t pay any more. They focus on who wants to be there. Give it a try — much better than similar programs in Bethesda.

The School of Rock is a nationwide franchise performance music school chain that really teaches your rocker what music is all about whether they love pop or metal and what showmanship is about too. Each week they have a private lesson from a trained musician as well as a group practice where they work on their set list for the upcoming show. They perform several seasons each year working on 25 or so songs each season. So much more than music lessons!
