Great neighborhood restaurant — very casual and the food is good.

Good food but kind of pricey!!! I had the soft shell crabs with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach! Was pretty good!

There are times when you just have a great meal and give the chef enough compliments. The Fren c h Toast at The Daily Dish is the best in Silver Spring and probably the DC Metro Area. I consider myself a french toast specialist and no, I do not like my french toast stuffed. Flavorful, fresh challah, Applewood smoked bacon, real maple syrup. Yes, heaven at breakfast!

I wish you were closer to SEDC. The food here was great, the service was good and seating was easy. We were a party of 5 who all got some type of egg breakfast. We had 2 special omelettes, eggs Benedict, and some frittata. First let’s start with the omelette special. It was crab and goat cheese tomatoes and asparagus with potatoes on the side. Everything was fantastic but the goat cheese was a little too milky. The frittata on the other hand came out perfect and was fluffy. The Benedict was good and had the correct spices. Oh and the scone was amazing. The reason this place does not get 5 stars is you have to ask for everything. Ketchup on the side, butter and jelly only with scones and drinks were not always full. The price is good and the food is great. The coffee is amazing so definitely try this place as you will not be disappointed.

This review is not for the food, which is great. We had brunch yesterday around 11am and it was about 82 degrees and climbing and they had the door-wall open to the outside with no A/C. We were in the shade, but with the heat heat from the kitchen and the bugs coming in, it was uncomfortable. I felt like I needed a shower afterwards. DD, if you want your guests to stay eat, make sure you turn on the air. We were heated and cranky and wanted out of there asap.

Wonderful! I stumbled upon this spot today when I was looking for the food coop that used to be in the space. What a delightful find! I seated myself at the counter and ordered the Macaroni lunch special. The server, Erin, was top-notch. She was kind, engaging, and speedy with my order. She checked on me often,(but not too often, and never when I had a mouthful) :), engaged me in pleasant conversation and it made it a super pleasant lunch! Now, onto the food. For $ 10 I got a huge and delicious platter of gourmet Mac and cheese, with a crusty top. It was definitely enough for 2, but so good that I had to eat it all! Definitely going back, and it will be on a Wednesday so that Erin will be working! Thank you for making my day :)

Absolutely appalled that this place isn’t rated higher! If you’re choosing between Parkway Deli and the Daily Dish, COMEHERE! I’ve never ever had a negative experience here. I’ve come here many, many times. The staff is always friendly and care about the customer experience. I love how when the weather is nice, they open the front doors so the entire restaurant is open to fresh air. The décor is always changing because they pride themselves on highlighting local artists, which I find super cool. Additionally, the place has always been clean. The food: Yum, yum, yum! Some people may say it’s expensive — but when you’re paying for fresh, made-to-order, food made with locally sourced ingredients, it’s 100% worth it! I worked at Norman’s Farm Stand(Jones Bridge during summer and fall months) and I know this restaurant purchases ingredients in bulk from the stand. Norman’s prides themselves on sourcing fruits and veggies from a 100 mile radius or less. So, to me, the price is beyond worth it to support our local growers. As far as food quality, as mentioned, it’s all fresh and delicious!!! You honestly can’t go wrong with any of their selections. I love how they also change their menu(slightly) to match changing harvest seasons. Their menu always reflects what’s growing in the MD/VA/PA area. Anyways, had to leave a review when I saw Parkway Deli had a higher Unilocal rating. There’s no comparison… The Dish is a much better option!

Valentine’s Day late breaker FTW! An unexpected offer of babysitting saw us scrambling to find a reservation. How fortunate that The Daily Dish had room. Cozy environment, attentive waitstaff, and, above all, delicious food. Standouts included deviled eggs appetizer, beef tenderloin, and cheese plate. The pork belly appetizer was PERFECT. We will definitely be back.

We came for lunch since I haven’t been here before and it was close by. I like the lunch meals all under $ 10 concept. Farm to fork is clever and I like the idea of fresh ingredients. I got the steak sandwich and my mom got the omelet. The omelet was quite large, she got it with mushrooms(lots of em), onions(some), and bell peppers(not many inside). She really liked it. The sandwich was decent, not a lot of steak on it but for $ 10 you won’t get 14oz of anything anymore. I did not find it overly exciting, nor was it bland. It was fine. I did really like the dressing on the side salad. The Arnold Palmer’s are pretty good. Not very sweet, just the way I like them.

Fast and reliable. Workers were nice but the food is over priced. I think it is a step up from red dog café.

This is in residential area. I came here only because i was in the neighborhood. Pizza is surprisingly good. Especially mushroom pizza comes with plenty of mushroom, lots of cheese and crispy but soft crust. I love it. It gets very crowded on Fri/Sat evening. Mixed crowds from young couples to elderly and families. Service is OK.

This place is great! I usually go to Woodside Deli for Sunday breakfast but this place gives it a very good run for the money. They are different types of places — The Daily Dish is slightly more upscale but very casual and has a really warm, friendly vibe. The food is good, portions are good, and the price is right for what you get. Kids eat free on Mondays and there’s a make-your-own-bloody-mary bar on the weekends. For me, that’s enough to warrant a 5-star review on Unilocal! I will definitely go back.

My lamb burger and my husband’s chicken were both over cooked. Our server messed up both of our orders. First he tried to give my husband pizza when he ordered pasta and my burger came with the wrong side. The service and the food is not worth the price.

Great for brunch if you get there early on a weekend. Everything is fresh. The omelets and Eggs Benedict are delicious. Bacon is crispy. It’s become my go-to breakfast place in the area. I usually sit at the bar and receive great service. Sitting in the actual restaurant usually doesn’t yield good service. Not sure why? Hence, a deduction of one star. I do like the pumpkin spice latte and if you are so inclined, the Bloody Mary bar is a nice twist. The regular coffee is adequate for even a picky coffee drinker. The restaurant is clean which is important in my book. The staff seem to clean between parties of people. You can sit outside during the warmer months, but you will sit in the middle of a parking lot which isn’t always appealing. The place is a little pricey for Silver Spring; for two of us, breakfast cost $ 38(no Bloody Mary) without tax and tip. Add tax and tip and you should budget approx. $ 48 — $ 52 when having breakfast for two. The shopping center is old/dilapidated and needs a face lift so you’d never know this place is there just driving down the street between MD and DC(the shopping center is located in MD very close to the DC line). Parking in-front is difficult to find and you can find more parking in the back and walk down the alleyway to the front door. Tip: get there before 11:00AM so you will not have to wait 20+ minutes for weekend brunch.

This restaurant was a wonderful experience! Our waiter was polite and attentive. My mimosa was to die for and the food was overwhelmingly delicious. My sister and I wanted to go to a brunch close by and found this! I’m extremely glad we choose this restaurant. It was affordable and the food taste great! Beats your overcrowded brunches any day! I’ll definitely be back.

Awesome brunch experience. A friend and I went to a late brunch at The Daily Dish after hearing that the restaurant won a RAMMY award. We came in on a Sunday around 2 pm. We both ordered the same thing — eggs any style(scrambled with cheese), which came with potatoes and bacon. We also ordered the french toast dish to split between the two of us, for good measure. I also ordered the soy pumpkin spice latte. Yum. Between the two of us, our meals cost $ 30 total. WINNING! Simply put, if you’re looking for a tasty, low key brunch spot, this is the place to go.

Relaxed neighborhood spot. Went here with the wife unit on a weeknight evening. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, good tunes, easy going server who was un-obstrusive. We got the«date night» special, which entailed 2 salads, one large entrée to share, and dessert to share for around $ 40. Pretty good deal. The food, fortunately, was delicious. Fresh good ingredients not overly seasoned or meddled with from the chef. Seafood pasta was great. Homemade linguini was good, seafood tasted fresh, generous portion, excellent sauce. Apple cake dessert was really tasty. Not too sweet, super appl-ly, and the scoops of fancy vanilla ice cream didn’t hurt. Some of the mains are a little pricey, but the quality seemed worth the coin.

I am addicted to this place, their brunch menu is great. I eat here atleast 3times a month, the thing that keeps me coming back is their FRENCHTOAST… OMG!!! They have decent mimosas too. Overall, a great hanging spot for brunch and those lazy sundays!

The husband failed to book Mother’s Day Brunch reservations in advance, so when I got around to it the week of, I had few options. Luckily the Daily Dish still had some seats left at a reasonable hour for brunch. Parking was easy. The restaurant was more empty then I expected for Mother’s Day. The menu had a good selection. Even my picky Mother in Law was able to find something to eat(the BLT) and she said she enjoyed it. The food was alright. I wasn’t super-impressed but it was solid. Service was also not on their game the day we went.

Great, amazing food. Not fast, but perfect for a Sunday morning with the newspaper. It does help if you’re not shy with your server. Just tell them you want to go… don’t be passive-aggressive!

Really solid restaurant. Dined at this restaurant with my friend for breakfast. Service was good. My Eggs Benedict was good — the hollandaise sauce could’ve been better. I really loves their potatoes. Overall, good experience. Would definitely return.

This place did not disappoint! We came in for lunch, while the menu was basic, everything we ordered was cooked perfectly! Wood fired pizza had perfect crust and sauce. The stake sandwich and burgers were juicy and flavorful. Our server, Daniel, was great! Will come again.

Had been hearing about this place but only made it there last week for lunch. Ordered the BLT and it was great! Came with a side of house salad which tasted really fresh. Service was quick and good too. I’m yet to try the dinner menu. Can’t wait!

I’ve been frequenting an adjacent restaurant for my breakfast needs for years now and don’t know why I haven’t stopped before? I love the outdoor seating and the garage door concept and their«farm to fork» business model. Although I wanted to try the poached egg portobello(2 eggs over portobello mushrooms, crispy pancetta, breakfast potatoes in port wine sauce), I decided order on the safe side this first time around and tried the florentine eggs benedict. My dish did not disappoint and was a well made benedict. I also liked that their breakfast menu had innovative breakfast items that you wouldn’t find at any other restaurants and will be returning to try more items. As for their service, I thought that the server was attentive, more so than most other restaurants.
