The Vault

I’ve been coming to this shop for a year now. Jason and the staff here are very helpful and friendly. For a BM they have good prices on their product. I live in Rockville and I much rather take the 30 min drive to the vault in silver spring than to go to the shops here in Rockville, where there are a bunch of kids cloud chasing thinking that know everything when they don’t even understand ohms law. Jason at the vault knows his product. He understands what a customer wants. He won’t push product just to make a sell.

I had a great shopping experience buying to vape things (one for me and one for my wife).
Stefan helped me out and he did a great job educating me. He gave me so much information about the different types of juices and potencies it was like listening to a chemist.
I was really surprised how much went into vaping. He was also very honest and upfront about their no refund/​no exchange policy at the very beginning of the interaction. Him being upfront early made me feel good about his honesty.
The shop had a small selection but it was quality items. It wasn’t set up like a fancy showroom. Just a small vape shop.
I know you can save money shopping online, but it was worth the extra few dollars to get all the information I needed. I felt really good about my purchase. Stefan’s salesmanship was great as well. It was impressive.
I will give them my business again!

Does this place deserve, 5 stars, probably not, but I did want to help balance out the previous (and sole) reviewer’s rating. As someone experienced with vaping (unlike previous reviewer) I knew essentially what I wanted but wasn’t sure which brands or models they had in stock. I’ll also mention that I didn’t meet with the older white gentlemen with a Maryland flag tattoo, but a younger, maybe Latino man. I asked for a mod for a Subtank Mini, and he pointed out several options (both traditional mods and box mods.) Unfortunately, the only one I was interested only came in «red» (which is actually a hot pink) and without hustling me to make a sale, informed me where I could go to get the same mod in a more unisex color. All in all the customer service was really good and friendly. While there, a teenager came in, and was promptly turned away for being under 18, in what was a cordial (if slightly awkward) manner.
Their selection is fairly poor, though maybe just under par for a brick and mortar shop, in my experience. Prices are also reasonable for a brick and mortar shop. I also checked out their humidor, which was painfully small for a shop that claims to sell cigars, but picked up a decent cigar for only $ 5. It’s also unfortunate that they don’t have a smoking lounge, though the sales person notified me that a lounge is in the works for next door.
I’m not sure that I’d ever go back, if only because I prefer to get my juices online, and the only other expendable part in my setup would be a coil for a tank that they don’t sell there. But all in all, the sales person was somewhat knowledgable about their merchandise (though I’ve met some who are way more knowledgeable about the technical aspects at other shops). Certainly worth a stop if you’re interested in pick up an e-​cig setup. If you’re new or unfamiliar to e-​cigs, just let the sales person know that, and I’m sure they’ll be happy to help.
