Rick R should have gone to a «Salon» not a barber if he wanted to make an appointment. Michael has been cutting my son and husband’s hair for years. Creative Edge is a small town barber shop with its«regulars» that have also been going to see Michael for years as well. I’ve never made an «appointment» unless I needed to be somewhere and Michael has always been accommodating. Michael is great with his customers; friendly & professional. It’s nice to walk into a business and be treated like one of the family. I have seen new customers come in and are treated just like the regulars. It’s a great shop with a pleasant small town flair!

Stay away! I called before I headed to Creative Edge, asking if I need an appointment, and I should have known that this wasn’t going to be a good experience from the phone call: he scoffed at me for thinking such a thing, and said I can just come in and there isn’t a wait, making me feel bad for wasting his time with such a stupid phone call. Well, when I showed up, the barber spent more time messing around, chatting it up with some regulars sitting around in the waiting area than paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing, and trying to convince one woman she should get back in the chair for a minor fix. All in all, I had to wait for 3 people to get their entire haircut, completely countering what he said on the phone. My wait time was over an hour. And I’ve never seen someone spend over half an hour on someone’s «high and tight» military style haircut before — he wasted more time talking mindless drivel and didn’t seem to mind making new customers wait without even saying«hello.» So he’s not the most polite or socially attentive individual, maybe he’s good at what he does? Think again. The fact that the one woman had to get a fix should have been another sign: this guy makes mistakes. I got in the chair, and because I wasn’t one of these«regulars», I basically got the shaft and he spent less than 5 minutes on me. Not a difficult haircut, so it shouldn’t be much of a problem — but he trimmed up the back of my neck so high I had people laughing at me after walking out, while leaving the hair on top so long I looked more like one of the 3 Stooges than what I had asked. Price: average, $ 14 for a cut(doesn’t include the price of me going somewhere else to get it fixed). Should have been cheaper for how little time he spent on me, so I give it $$ out of 4. This guy doesn’t really seem to know what he’s doing, and doesn’t seem to be looking for new customers anytime soon. So I’m going to listen: I won’t be going back.
