FYE has a large selection that is over priced. The company does not adhere to advertised prices. They pull the«bait and switch» game and false advertise.

I try to stop by whenever I visit friends in Poulsbo. They have a great selection of CDs, especially like stocking up on used CDs in great shape. Also glad to see the vinyl collection expanding. I hope people who live near this Fye realize what a treasure sides like this are, and help support it.

Nice place, lots of neat products, and rather big. The staff was very approachable and I found what I was looking for easily. I love this place and I wish I could go more often. Hope it won’t go out of business like Blockbuster because I am always satisfied with my purchases here.

As Derek has said, media venues are slowing dying out and F.Y.E. is a strong chain holding out. I used to not be quite into the movie or music scene but when I had found a HUGECD case at the Goodwill, I was determined to fill it with DVDs. As much as Wal-Mart and Target have a nice array of movies, the prices are usually too high to spend on them. At F.Y.E., not only is the movie selection much broader but since the consumer can buy new or used DVDs, the price can be less than what is usually spent. Speaking of used merchandise, it’s not just used DVDs; it’s video games, music CDs, and DVD box sets. Seriously, this store has it all for entertainment! They provide music cases, television novelties, headphones, stuffed iconic characters, speaker systems for entertainment sets, etc. They also have a membership program for about $ 11/month if you want to sign up plus they buy back your movies, music, iPods, tablets, etc(which is probably why they haven’t gone under with their bartering system of sorts). The used merchandise is really good quality as well(I practically always buy used) and if you have a problem with it, just keep the receipt and the packaging and it’s no hassle for your money or an exchange back. Oh, did I mention the employees are pretty cute too? In all, I’d be super sad if this place ever died so go check it out! The employees are more than happy to help you :)

I love this place. I’m a 90’s child and I remember when every mall had a Suncoast Motion Picture, AND a Camelot(AKA f.y.e.) or a Sam Goody… or sometimes both. I also remember the epic music and movie houses known as Wherehouse Music. I also remember when some Wherehouse Music stores were bought out and converted to Blockbuster Music in the mid-late 1990’s, before eventually reverting back to Wherehouse Music locations. A long, troubled history but one I wish were still around. One by one Wherehouse Music, like Blockbuster and Sam Goody before them, were driven to the slaughter and it breaks my heart. We hear our parents talk about how faceless stores and venues that defined their youth went away, well Generation X, we have ours. f.y.e. in Silverdale is an exception and a hold out; a last man standing if you will. They are in an old Wherehouse Music building, and if you were to knock off the f.y.e. sign you couldn’t tell the two apart. Minimal changes were made and it is an up and running mecca of music, movies, media, and all things physical that retain our culture and want to buy. I’m an American, I love to shop and I love to PHYSICALLY own something and hold it in my hand and speak to actual human beings when I purchase an item, which is why I LOVE f.y.e. They have a wall of collectible toys and movie memorabilia. I got some most excellent Freddy Krueger figures by NECA for $ 9.99, and that ain’t bad. They have an insane selection of all types of music and movies. They are all categorized, alphabetized, and well stocked. I love to just browse and get overwhelmed finding items I’d never have thought of. f.y.e. has improved their pricing since the late 90’s, and often has things priced comparably to big box discounters(Target, Best Buy, Wal Mart), and in addition, they have a selection none of those places could come close to touching. The staff was actually fairly friendly and offered help quite a bit(one employee even brought me a basket when he saw the balancing act I had going on!). Did I mention how much I love this place? I could spend a day in here and still not be satisfied, there is just so much to look at. Give this place a go, support what remaining venues of physical media we have. If we don’t use it we’ll lose it, and I don’t want to have to rely on Wal Mart and Redbox for my media buys. A world so inhuman, so impersonal, so… vague is not a place I want to be a part of.

So they sell movies, music, and a few games here. the selection is actually pretty good compared to stores such as target and bestbuy. i was able to find some movies that the other stores no longer carried. extra points for having movie and game soundtracks here as well!
