This place was absolutely amazing. From the moment you enter the shop to the moment you’re sitting in the chair, the experience will be more than just a business transaction. We had first gone to Thors Hammer and Needle and this place put that to shame. Billy was amazing. He’s a great listener, does great work and I’m proud that he took my tattoo virginity lol. My husband got a piece on his leg between other tattoos and loved this place. Definitely will be coming again soon!

Aaron did tattoos for my husband I for Christmas and I went back for a cover up tattoo. The work is amazing. He even kept some of the old tattoo and made it all look like one cohesive new tattoo! Thanks Aaron!

Having been to Golden Rule and their unfortunate attitudes and customer service, I was happy to find Peninsula Rose just a few blocks away. I know all the artists there are great, I just happen to see Nik Flores. He fixed my tattoo. The guy has a gift. The tattoo he fixed now feels like it’s a part of me and not something I have to hide.

I recently got tattooed by krystin at peninsula rose. Going in at first, i had a certain idea for the piece I wanted, but i don’t have much of an artistic touch. She took a huge chunk of her evening talking through it with me before I had even committed to an appointment with her. Once it was booked she put in a ton of time perfecting the drawing and kept me in the loop at all times. The piece looks great. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I love Peninsula Rose! Everyone there is so laid back and friendly. Someone always greets you and is very helpful. I have gotten a tattoo from both Aaron and Nik who are both very professional and friendly. I will continue to return to Peninsula Rose for my tattoo needs!

Great/quality work and very friendly artists who love what they do. A little more pricey then what other shops have in the area.

I recently went in to Peninsula Rose with my mother and younger sister to get somewhat matching tattoos. All three of us got script, which were part of a saying broken up. The design was very simple and I went in with a picture on my phone to show the artist exactly what we wanted. All three of the artists were busy at the time, but we were told if we came back in a couple of hours they would be able to tattoo us. We left and returned as instructed, and one of the artists had drawn up the script for us that matched the picture I had shown him, except for missing a few minor details. When I pointed this out to him he seemed offended and immediately went into defense mode, even though I had given him plenty of time to study the picture of what we wanted. I was the first one to get tatted and he did the job quickly and cleanly. However, he was very heavy handed, not only when tattooing but also when wiping away excess ink/blood. While he was tattooing me he chatted with an older guy, who I assumed was the owner(I say assumed because when I asked he did not answer me), and their topic of conversation was not especially appropriate. At one point a girl came into the shop to speak with the guy tattooing me and after she left, the older guy and the tattooer were laughing about how the girl was recently divorced because her husband had cheated on her. After he was finished tattooing me the tattooer(I keep referring to him as «tattooer» because he never gave me his name) took his sweet time cleaning up and then setting up to do my mom’s tattoo next. He again got annoyed with me when I asked my mom if she was 100% sure about the placement of the tattoo on her arm, which I knew was much lower than what she had originally wanted. She said he was also heavy handed while working on her. After he was finished, he was even slower cleaning up and resetting to do my sister’s tattoo because two other girls came into the shop to chat with him. When he did get started on my sister’s tattoo I could hear him blatantly hitting on her, even though it was obvious that she was much younger than he was. She got her tattoo below her clavicle and she said while he was tattooing her that he was very handsy. Also, when filling out the paperwork the tattooer did not ask to see our I.D.s, which I thought was strange because every other tattoo shop I have been in have not only asked to see my I.D., but also to make a copy of it. All in all, yes the shop was laid back, but it was not super clean or extremely nice. The floor had cracks in it and their chairs were basically swivel chairs with cracked vinyl. I wish we would have waited to go to Lucky Boys Tattoo Parlor. If you want a mediocre tattoo in a slightly sexist shop go ahead and check out Peninsula Rose.

Wow, what can I not say about this place! I have had tattoos done in the past, but not one artist has matched up to the work that Jake Mello does at Peninsula Rose. Jake did my tattoo or should I say my masterpiece of art on my back. Jake is an outstanding artist, detailed and creative, he is not your typical tattoo artist that you find out there. He is phenomenal with ideas and the art itself, bringing it to life. I have put my trust in him to the point that we are coming up with more ideas to cover up my old tattoos. I value his opinion on what would look good with the piece that I currently have, making it more of a personal experience. Check out his website to see the powerful art that he does, you will see many realistic tattoos as well as your traditional piece and what you see on the website is not PHOTOSHOP it is the real deal! I speak from the experience of having it done; I know his work up close and personal! A tattoo is a piece you carry for the rest of your life, so why not get something that will be worth getting and go with Jake Mello at Peninsula Rose.
