I purchased a new purchase at the store Monday. Even though the computer was down and processing purchases was done the old fashioned way with manual slides machines the sales women were all calm and collected! Helping everyone in a professional manner. Megan was a great help and answered all my questions! Thank you for always having a great experience in your shop!

Don’t let the three stars full you. I LOVELOVELOVE Brighton jewelry, especially the black and silver styles. It’s not the jewelry I question… well, I might question the prices because wow… it can be expensive! But perhaps that could be explained in the cute little tins you get when you purchase a piece or the over the top customer service one gets when they walk in the door… chocolate chip cookies? Could I get you a bottle of water? And how are YOU today? Can I be your new best friend? What I question is the replacement policy. Now the way I understand how the Brighton procedure works is thus: if an item doesn’t have a receipt and it needs to be fixed, it needs to be sent back(Back? Back where?) to be repaired. And it will take 4 – 6 weeks. Okay. Got it. What was incredible to me was there was an exact same piece in the store which the clerk took the SKU numbers off. I asked, Well… why can’t I have THAT one to replace it? «Because we have to send yours back to be repaired and they will send it back to us.» So. If they are sending it back and it’s good as new, why can’t you give that one to me and keep the«new» one? She looked at me blankly and said, «Because we have to send this one in.» Am I missing something? So 5 weeks pass and I get a call that my piece has come in from repairs. When I go to pick it up, the clerk says, «Oh. It looks like they gave you a new one.» In my head, I’m like, «WHAAAAT??? Isn’t that what I said before?» Light bulb goes off. Oh! That is why things are so expensive here. You get cute little tins and lovely wrapping bags. Chocolate chip cookies. Water. A place for your kiddos to color and play while you shop. And mailing jewelry back and forth means shipping costs. Got it. Someone, please explain to me what I am obviously missing in Brighton’s replacement policy. Because, I, the customer, must be completely dense. Never mind, good customer policy is «The customer is always right.» Unless she’s a screamer. Which… I am not. I just write Unilocal reviews. :)

I love this store, and as much as I love it, I have NEVER bought anything for myself. I always reason that it’s too expensive. As much jewelry as I wear, and as much as I heart hearts, it’s amazing that I’ve never bought any of the Brighton line. It’s an outrage really that I haven’t. It’s not THAT expensive… like diamonds or anything… but still, it’s more than I typically spend. I usually boast $ 3 – 15 purchases… not the likes of this stuff. YET, I have bought many a birthday gift for OTHERS. I need to rethink this philosophy because I’m losing out. Boy, have I played this one wrong. I think a return visit… and soon… is in order, don’t you?
