This place has RATS. I heard the employees talking about it, plus I saw rat droppings in a corner being hidden behind a sign. This is disgusting, the employees I overheard said nobody was doing anything about the situation. Also, the«owner of operations» Barry is a pervert, I over heard him talking about an employees mother in a sexual way.

Good food but overpriced and numerous time I’ve gone there they’re out of either chicken, ham or ribs. And a couple of times when I got it to go I got home and the ribs were so over cooked I couldn’t even eat it.

This dickeys BBQ in Simi Valley on tapo has mice, terrible costumer service, dead bugs near the window seats and the head honcho«Barry» is a total creep. The food is good but not when there’s hair found in it.(personal experience) I don’t advise eating at Dickeys BBQ pit.

We have eaten here twice now and it is delicious!!! Great quality fresh food and super nice staff! Hate the plastic«big yellow cups» though… I wish they had a more Eco-friendly cup because in reality, who really keeps those things? My kids love the free vanilla soft serve ice cream cones that they get to make themselves and I love that they behave while eating in order to deserve such a treat! Win win!

Great bbq spot. I enjoy their lunch specials as you always have a wide variety of choices. Their lunch specials ranging from their delicious brisket with two sides to their spicy cheese sausage sliced to perfection. The smell and taste will have you wanting more and more as their food will satisfy your hunger needs. The portion size is generous and will not disappoint. Parking in in their lot and is usually a non issue. Service is great as the staff will make sure your needs are met.

Food is good– just what you’d expect from a fast food Bbq joint. My complaint would be the pricing– way overpriced for the amount and quality of food you get. Probably won’t be back but glad I tried

Let me just start off by saying meh. The food was okay. I got the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and beans. The food was served cold and was really dry, like it had been sitting around for awhile. Besides that it was just okay. The seasoning and flavor were not that great, the BBQ sauce was alright. Maybe just not my cup of tea. I might give them a second chance. Maybe.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday, the guy that helped me,(Sorry, I don’t remember the name) Was friendly and professional. The room smelled like a wood fire, which I loved, and the chicken was to die for! Easily the juiciest, most tender chicken I’ve ever had. Def going back.

This review is only based on the food we ordered our food on LAbite and had no interaction with the store or employees. Overall it was mediocre. I had the baker with brisket. The brisket was the highlight of the meal by far. The potato itself was dry and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. My boyfriend had the big BBQ Sandwich which was not Big at all. Although he said it was bomb, he maybe should have ordered 2. The sandwich didn’t come with a side so we added a side of medium fries and by accident ordered a side of small fries as well. I didn’t realize the mistake till the food was in its way. Both the small and medium fries order were the same size! Rip off. Oh and the large side of fries was $ 12, yes more than most entrées on the menu.

Oh My Goodness… just tried the Dickeys pulled pork tacos on a flour tortilla, with BBQ sauce and coleslaw and a bit of shredded cheddar cheese. It was just perfect, tasty thick and full of flavor. I think this has become my new favorite thing from them. You get a side with it, and of course I chose their loaded mashed potatoes, cant walk into Dickeys without ordering that! A High C fruit drink and Im so satisfied… one warning, they are messy so enjoy and get into it, Might want to bring a bib, well I got messy anyway. but like any taco they drip… and it was good! It so nice to walk into this place, and be greeted by the employees, the service is fast, I barely sat down and my dinner was brought to me. While eating I was asked if everything was ok, and I was busy stuffing my face, but they got the thumbs up! I had to force myself to not get the free ice cream, but I was full. Thank you Dickeys, I will certainly be back. again and again.

We came here to try this place due to the great reviews. We were so disappointed. We ordered the 2 meat plate and ate in. We’ve should have left when I saw that the meats were wrapped in plastic wrap when the server took the meat out to slice. I got the beef brisket and turkey breast. The turkey breast was sliced. With the beef brisket your serving was partly sliced and partly pulled portion. The biggest disappointment was that the meat was lukewarm and almost cold! The beef brisket was quite tasty. The turkey breast was just ok. The meat portions were not very big. The 2 meat plates came with your choice of 2 meats, a roll, and a choice of 2 sides. I got the bbq beans and the coleslaw. The coleslaw tasted very good. The bbq beans was just ok for me and at least that was hot. It’s not cheap to eat here. The 2 two meat plates and 2 drinks came to $ 35. Ouch. I didn’t think it was worth it for lukewarm food. Your meats don’t come with any bbq sauce on it. You can pick up the sauces on the table near the drinks. You have your choice of original, sweet and spicy bbq sauce. There is free soft serve also available next to the bbq sauce. I’ve noticed that a lot of people came here and ordered their food to go. At least you can warm up your food when you get home. I don’t think we will come back. This is just my experience and I hope this review doesn’t get pulled.

We were very pleased! Ordered the pork ribs which were amazing– tender, with just a hint of smoke, and seasoned well! The green beans were out of this world– tender and had a hint of spiciness! Ha! Ha! I thought the beans were on steroids — fat suckers! The beans with Jalapeño was spot on! Wow! Loved the slight spiciness and not to mention just down right tasty! I am not a huge Mac and Cheese fan but took a bite out of my husband’s choice of sides– and it was amazing! The fried Okra was Delish! Trying to watch my carbs so would have preferred it to be cooked like the green beans but oh! Well! Overall– feel embarrassed for snubbing this place for long — opting for Reds or Wood Ranch Bar B Que– what? This place rocks — and top it all– Loved the Ronald Reagan endorsement? We will go back for sure.

Pretty good smoked brisket when compared to real Texas brisket ie Rudy’s, Franklins, etc Sides are ok mac ‘n cheese, green beans and bacon, etc. We have been here on few Sundays and have always been out at least 2 meats and 1 side. Disconcerting to say the least. If there was a Rudy’s here in the Conejo valley I would not even think of visiting a Dickeys, famous Daves, etc but alas this is the best we have.

I’m not really impressed with this barbecue restaurant. I find the prices to be really high and the barbecue I got was a little dry. I did like the barbecue sauce and that was good. Also they’re baked beans are tasty. I think the thing that bugs me the most is how filthy the restaurant was and the three employees stood around.

Ok… I always avoided this place because it’s BBQ! Probably lots of items not on my diet but just a day I didn’t feel like cooking and decided to eat here anyways. To my surprise there’s turkey on the menu and they use smoked turkey deli roast meat. Kids eat free on Sunday’s, my son got the kids chicken meat plate and I got the turkey with beans and salad. They have two types of tea to pick. My son loves their fried onion tanglers. I tried one and was happy to see it wasn’t mostly bread instead of onion. Oh, the best part is free ice cream at the end! Mmmmmm I think the price is «ok» but it definitely seems like a cozy family friendly place. Mental note: Come on Sunday’s.

Trying Dickey’s for the second time and this one definitely was a 5 star experience. Customer Service: Trevor took our order and cut our meat selection. He was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable of the menu. Before we ordered he asked if we had any questions about the menu which I appreciated. Alex finished taking care of us and we told him which sides we wanted. He was also pleasant and we had a great ordering experience. Food: I ordered the equivalent to a Medium chicken sandwich. The sandwich came with pickles and onions on the side,(which I liked because then you can put exactly how many of each you want on the sandwich without having to explain it). The bun was toasted nicely and the chicken was very delicious. I drizzled sweet sauce over the chicken and then drops of the spicy sauce on top. It was very good. My sides were the fries and the onion strings. Both were great and tasted good in all 3BBQ sauces(original, sweet, & spicy). To drink I had water and for dessert I had a soft serve ice cream cone. I am a total sucker for soft serve and my daughter had a tiny lick, too. My husband had the 3 meat plate, it also comes with a bread roll and two sides. He chose Brisket, Chicken, & Turkey and for the sides Mac & Cheese and Potato Casserole. To drink he had a root bear and also enjoyed soft serve for dessert. We always like to share though, so I tried everything on his plate too. My favorites are the chicken, the fries, and the potato casserole. From now on I think that’s going to be my «usual» order. Dining: The high chairs are in the back next to the restrooms. The dining tables have a blue and white checkered picnic design which is cute since its BBQ. Also there are napkin dispensers on every table so need to get up when you start making a mess. Everything you need is located in the middle of the dining area: soda machine, soft serve machine, utensils, salt & pepper packets, BBQ sauces, etc… Tonight we had a great dinner and great service. Can’t wait to dine again.
