Madre’s Thrift Store

What a blessing it has been to find this shop! We walked in and were greeted with a big smile and welcome. We are known as Pat and Grandma and have been busy decorating our new home with Vintage by Madres on a shoestring. Just scarfed up a velvet and brocade COMPLETE bed set (quality ala bb and beyond priced s over $ 600.) for $ 10.00. Madres delivers and sets up your finds for a measley $ 20. Closed on Sun and Mon we can hardly wait until she opens. You must visit her clothing sections where we have found most of our fall wardrobe. Some pieces brand new but all Clean, hung and organized. I love this place. been shopping here since they opened… i always find so many cool pieces of clothing… garden décor… home décor at excellent prices. Everyone is super nice and very customer orientated… Shari the owner is very passionate with her business. i’ve seen her many times reduce her prices for customers who are a bit short… you barely see that any where! She offers iced coffees and cookies and i must say i love the iced coffee. It’s my favorite place to thrift… i suggest to check it and know you will be leaving with all kinds of treasures!!! Lisa

This place is absolutely wonderful. You can find fantastic stuff here, (baby clothes!!!) but the real treasure is the wonderful people who run this place. Every time I’ve called or been in they have been so warm, friendly and helpful. So grateful.

Amazing store!!! I really think items have been handpicked I rarely find so many must haves in one trip. The prices were fabulous. The icing on the cake was how extremly inviting the owner, staff and regulars were. Made my day had to write my first review. Go now!

I came here today searching for baby clothes and was excited to see a room just for baby items. I found name brand baby clothes (baby guess and calvin clien ect.) for only $ 1.00 SERIOUSLY ONLY $ 1.00. They do have some items that are more then that but you could stock your layette without feeling like you broke the bank going to department stores. I cant speak for the rest of the merchandise because I only shopped the baby section but it did seem to have a huge amount of inventory. The ladies working there were very nice and super helpful.

This place is great! The prices are great and they have a wide variety of items. The employees were very kind and helpful. I’d highly recommend this place.

I love thrift store shopping and Madre’s is the best in Simi Valley. When you walk in they make you feel like part of the family. I have purchased so many wonderful things here. Go check it out!

Great place. Good prices. Good selection. Friendly staff. No air conditioning though and I felt a little claustrophobic walking through the store. Like I would never be found if there was an EQ or something. No worries though I will be back but with my cell and a water bottle next time!

This is my new place ! The owners were very friendly. It was a man and women. They also gave me great deals on the items I had gotten from them. I’m def coming back here again! Been there twice already in 1 week.

More likely 3.5 stars. Only one time out of eight visits do I find great items, most of the things are just not my style or something I want in the home — so I spend 20 – 30 mins searching and leaving empty handed. This store is packed full so be prepared to look through boxes and walk through the store twice to be able to see everything. I agree with the other reviewers that this thrift is best for someone looking for knick-​knacks. Prices are okay, higher than what you would find at a garage sale but usually cheaper than discount big box stores.

Clean and organized thrift store with great prices. Everything from clothes to housewares. Two doors down is the Madre’s outlet store. Both great!

Love Madre’s. The owner is awesome and I always seem to find something wonderful AND on sale. Can’t speak highly enough about the good vibes and wears that come out of this place.

LOVE this thrift store! I always leave with something in hand! The owners are very friendly, provide great customer service, and even treat their shoppers to coffee, tea and/​or cookies! Prices are reasonable and the store is always packed full of furniture, clothing, home goods, etc. The last Saturday of every month the ENTIRE store is discounted 50%!!! Also love that the store supports our local Community Pregnancy Center. THANK YOU!

This is the best thrift store in Simi to find vintage knick knacks for cheap. My owl collection has grown tremendously. I also always find the best vintage scarves, sewing patterns, yarn and shoes here for great prices! Highly recommended!

I really, really like this thrift store. In fact I like it more then the huge Goodwill right down the street on LA Avenue. This one is cool because it has the one shop that’s visible from the street, and then it has another room two doors down where every single thing is $ 1. I’m not kidding. Clothes, records (I’ve found really great vinyl there) shoes, books, kids clothing, everything in that room is $ 1.
As far as the ‘OG’ thrift store goes, it doesn’t get much better. The clothes aren’t really organized all that well, but that’s understandable because people mess them up and they don’t have a huge staff to clean up like goodwill does. The rack on the wall has stuff organized by color, which is cool and different. Shirts, shorts and some dresses are all arranged haphazardly together on the main rack, while skirts, pants, shorts and longer dresses have their own racks. They have a lot of tables and furniture, and everything is set up so nicely it’s like you’re walking into a tea room without the fancy décor and tea-​cups.
The lady who runs the place is great, and a real sweetheart. I don’t know why I always pass up this place when I drive by on Royal, but if I have the extra hour or two to go searching I’ll definitely be stopping by again. I picked up seven pieces of clothing and a record for $ 6 and some change today, which is awesome for me. OH! And don’t forget about their 50% off days. The lady said they have them every month, and today happened to be the day they were having their last one for April. So that’s another plus. Highly reccomended.

Came here for Halloween shopping. Madre’s is really 2 stores next to one another. If you are facing the building, be sure to check out the little one to the right. I bought 8 items of clothing for $ 6! Serious steals

This is one of my favorite thrift shops in Ventura County. The selection is great and the staff is very warm and generous. I could spend hours just browsing their inventory. They also have a ’50% off everything’ sale every month which is AWESOME! I’m not entirely sure when they do this, but if my memory serves me right, it’s always the last Saturday of the month.
If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend taking a stop into this store. You might just find a great little treasure that you never knew you needed/​wanted! :)
