First experience was horrible. Came back for retakes. Lou was AWESOME!!! The pictures came out fantastic. He should be their main photographer. Great experience. Very happy!

O’Connor Bros. provided our high school senior with a nice experience and quality photos. The problem with them is that they are way over priced. One 8X10 totaled $ 88.70 for a standard image. I understand they need to make money, but considering the print cost less than $ 1 to print, this is total price gauging. Not everyone can afford that kind of money for photos and considering that high school graduation is a momentous occasion, I think they are capitalizing on this. Every family should be able to have at least one nice image of their child graduation high school. What makes this even worse is that they will not make a digital file available for people to use to share with family and threaten law suit if anyone copies their images. Bad business model, total scammers that take advantage of people.

Regarding Simi Valley schools senior photos only. Pleasant staff and a nice studio space. Seniors are charged $ 45 for sitting fee and $ 20 for «yearbook publication fee». The $ 20 goes to the school for what I couldn’t say. I call it a forced donation. Knowing that we will also have to pay $ 100 for the yearbook it seemed ridiculous. Prices for prints are incredibly outrageous. I inquired regarding purchasing either a digital image file or high resolution CD with the one image we liked and apparently they do not offer this option. The lady admitted they make their money from prints. Seriously, get with the times O’Conner Brothers. It’s the 21^st century. Instead of charging for low cost «economy» prints (1 single 8×10 print «economy» priced at $ 69 — same cheap print quality as a regular school photo, which you pay a lot less for) why not instead offer a digital image file option sent via email or High resoltuion CD. When families on budgets like ours are choosing between 1 print that is considered «economy» at $ 69 or the option of gettting that same image that we can use to email, share, reprint again we might spend the money. In the end we opted for no images from this place, the pictures were not worth the money. We will be going to picture people in the mall where we will pay $ 0 for a sitting fee and choose the pictures we want with better backgrounds and faster service.
