Unpleasant/sleepy employee, triable attitude, Rude attitude, Sitting like one of the Ceramic’s Plate in the store and do, NOTHING!!! Big waist of time and money, NOT a happy or place for kids! Zero stars!!!

One of the best creative outlets you could go to! I paint here constantly. The staff is friendly and there’s so much to choose from! Everything is a blank canvass! You can create anything on mugs, plates, vases etc. It’s a $ 6 studio fee for whoever paints, plus the price of the ceramic you choose! They fire your piece in a kiln on site and you pick your piece up in 5 days! There’s a small box on your reciept that tells you which day to pick up your piece. Paint a Dream is so much fun for any age! It can get busy during the weekend so I’d call before you go in to make sure there’s no parties or large groups! There hours are: Monday-Friday: 11−8pm(but get there at minimum 7 so you have enough time to paint, since it may take a while! Sat-10am-8pm Sun– 11−6pm If you don’t finish your piece you can come back and finish any day, no charge! I bring my piece back a lot to finish! So don’t rush. Love this place. Love creating. Thank you Paint a Dream!

I’ve been coming here for many years. The girls who work here are very sweet and helpful. I usually come with my mom and a couple of my closest girlfriends. There’s a great selection to choose from, especially for holidays. I love getting fun things during Christmas. The studio paint fee is $ 5, where most places charge around $ 10 just to paint. The prices of the different things to paint is very fair. I’ve seen other places charge an extreme amount. This place is definitely my favorite pottery paint shop.

I’d say we are fairly regular regulars to Paint A Dream in Simi Valley. Our family loves it here! We average about 6 — 8 visits a year sometimes more plus my daughter had her 8th birthday here. The staff is super friendly, it is relaxing, location is very convenient with easy parking, there is no time limit — I literally sat there for 4 hours today doing multiple kids hand print plates for the holidays, my kids painted figurines and trinket boxes too. I’m a perfectionist so the kids were done way before I was done decorating their handprints. No worries though they started washing all the paint brushes, replacing water cups for customers, cleaning up, setting up new place settings at tables and then they organized all the unpainted pottery on display. I was so calm and relaxed though because the sweet girls who work there kept complimenting my kids and encouraging them. When my son chipped one of the display pieces the girl was ultra nice and calmly explained how it was no big deal, she could fix that one piece and he was doing a great job. Wow! I was about to have a completely different reaction but it wasn’t necessary. The grace and calmness was just what makes painting here so nice. The prices are high for pottery but if that is what it takes to keep them in business I’ll gladly pay for the overall experience. On the flip side their birthday parties are one of the most affordable around. It is always a pleasure spending time here! Better than therapy, we call it paint therapy. :) Cannot wait to go back!

I have been to this location about 5 times in the past year. The employees are always incredibly sweet and helpful! It’s a great place to be creative and chit chat with friends. No one rushes you and it is a lot of fun. The only reason why I am not giving all 5 stars is because the variety of ceramics is not always great. :/Most times, there are pre-painted examples that look fantastic, but that particular piece of ceramic is not actually available for a customer to paint(there are generally multiple of these scenarios each time I go). Also, more colors of puff paint would be awesome! They just have black and white, and that’s no fun! I will continue to go back because of the nice atmosphere and friendly staff :)

I went in today at 7:11pm and was denied service even though it was my little one’s birthday. Apparently, there is a 6:30 cut of which is not indicated in their signage. I am very disappointed that I had to leave because of this ridiculous rule. Don’t you guys want business? We had dinner next door and excitedly walked over for entertainment just to be refused. Not cool at all. My birthday girl was crying in the parking lot. What’s the point of being open until 8 pm, if you’re not going to allow anyone to paint? Are you Paint A Dream or Crush a Dream? This is no way to conduct business. Imagine going to a restaurant and being told, «Sorry, stove closes an hour before closing. We can’t serve you.» Is it that difficult to stay a little later for clean up?

I love this place!!! I have come up here with my kids for a family day, had my daughters birthday party here, had my bachelorette party here and have gone in for date nights. The employees are all so sweet and kind, the price is good, the selection is large, it’s clean and fun. We love it. They need frequent painters cards. ;)

My daughters and I have been coming here for years. We love the selection of pieces to paint, the examples to work from, the handprint books with ideas, etc. The staff is great. We even did a popcorn bowl last year for the teacher — they let us hold the bowl there and have people come in to put their thumbprints on. The birthday parties are great too. Keep up the great work ladies!

I have come to paint a dream many times and for many reasons. They always have a great selection of items to paint and always have new items for the seasons. The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. Definitely a fun place to take kids or to be a kid again. Will be back again for sure!

Great place for a creative activity. Staff is very nice and available when needed, even on a busy Saturday. Reason for 4 out of 5 stars. Would have liked to see more options for the ceramic pieces to paint(i.e., paint samples displayed of pieces not available to paint). Also, this place can be pretty pricey. I recommend bringing children that are 8 years old and up. Younger kids may have trouble sitting for a long time.

This place is great for kids. I used my groupon and ended up paying an additional $ 20. It would be expensive to go here otherwise $ 40 for painting 2 items. They do have monthly/weekly specials where its 2 for 1 and so on. I will def go again as a special treat for my kids. The girl who helped us was very friendly.

I guess you can call me a regular here! I love this place! It’s a very unique concept for a business! You pick a pottery piece, paint and customize it with any colors you wish, and pick it up a few days later after they glaze it. The staff is wonderful! This place represents true costumer service! They are so friendly and give me great tips and ideas. I’m horrible at writing, and they simply do it for me when i ask them to! I painted a mug last year and chipped it! I was so upset that I brought it back to see if there was anything they could do about it. They took it and said they would refire it, no problem! Tips for this place: Make sure to do 3 or more coats of paint to get the true color!
