It’s my first time going here, but I have an appointment with artist Gavin Hayes and I could never say enough good things about him. I’ve had all my previous tattoos done by him and I always recommend him without any hesitation to everyone I know. So if he works at this shop, then I already like it and know it must be good!
I’m bringing my friend here tonight and we’re both getting new tattoos, of course done by Gavin.
Not only is he a fabulous artist, he’s kind, personable and treats you with respect. He takes his time making sure that your tattoo is exactly how you want it and he puts care into every detail. When he’s working on your tattoo, it’s clear that he’s completely focused and all of his attention is on the beautiful piece of art that he’s creating for you. The unique piece of art that you will carry with you forever.
If I’m going to give anyone the huge amount of trust of letting them draw something on me that will be there forever, there’s no doubt I’m going to give it to Gavin.
I feel so grateful to have found such a wonderful artist. I won’t go to anyone else!

I had such a great experience at Revolt with Riq. I was referred to him by a good friend of mine and so happy I made an appointment with him. He tattooed an important phrase on my ribcage. He has a steady light hand and is super nice and welcoming. My tattoo came out super clean and beautiful! I’m so happy with it. His shop is clean and beautifully decorated. His staff is nice and professional. Couldn’t have asked for a better tattooing experience! Thanks Riq!

Came here to get my first tattoo with my girlfriend in tow about a month ago. Tattoo looks great aside from a few wiggles (I jumped from the pain of it on my collarbone since I’m a big wuss) but those were not his fault. Riq was very nice and I was able to pass the time very quickly talking to him. Great guy and I’ll definitely be back for my second tattoo.

I got a tattoo 15 years ago, and hated it ever since. I’d wanted to get it covered up for years, but I was reluctant to do it, because I didn’t want another tattoo that I regretted right after.
When I finally decided to get it covered up, I started looking around for the tattoo artist I wanted to do it. Not that I’m snobby, but I just felt I had to click with the artist. The search went on for a few years. I meet several artists, but never found the one I wanted to draw on my skin with a tattoo gun.
Then one day I saw a friend’s photo on a social media site. He had a ridiculous tribal arm band tattoo covered up by Riq, and the end result was amazing!
The next week I came in to see Riq at his shop and decided on the spot that I wanted him to do my cover-​up. I scheduled for the next day for the work to be done.
On the day of my appointment I rolled in and he had a design he thought would look really good, and I pretty much let him do what we thought would look best. He did a free hand drawing where the tattoo was going to go, he had me look at it and he proceeded to put it on my skin.
I wish I could write that it was a pain free experience, but I would be lying. Getting a tattoo does hurt, but Riq seemed to move around to different areas often to as if he was giving each area a rest. At least that’s what it felt like to me.
When he was all done and I looked at his work, I knew I had made the right choice by going to him. It looked amazing, and I was very happy with it!
I would highly recommend anyone looking to get a tattoo to come to Revolt and see Riq. You won’t be disappointed!
I am already picking out a design for my next tattoo and I am calling Riq to schedule an appointment when I decide in it.

RIQ is the real deal. He knows what’s he’s doing and he listens to what you want. Had my outline done today by him and couldn’t of been happier. My 7^th tattoo and finally found someone who is worth sticking with. He is awesome!

I was referred to Nomi from a co worker of mine for tattoo. I got her number and set up a time with her. She’s was really nice and helpful. I told her I wanted a sugar skull on my arm and brought in a design to work with. She made the design and had it all ready to go when I got there. She did an excellent job and after a year later I get nothing but compliments from strangers checking out my tattoo.
The guys working there were all kind and professional. It’s a great shop. I definitely will be giving Nomi a call soon about more tattoos. Great place here in Simi. Thank you Nomi

I was referred to Riq through a couple of my clients after my endless search for an awesome tattoo artist in the area. I had seen Riq’s work on them before I decided to go see him and was very impressed with what I saw. Once I got to meet Riq there was no question that my search was over. The time that Riq takes to truly listen to what I want and talk about placement and color options etc is always so refreshing compared to other artists I’ve encountered that are quick to do whatever they want and not really hear what YOU want. When your getting tattooed by Riq you can see his passion as an artist and I’ve never felt more comfortable with a tattoo artist ever (i have 5 other tattoos I have from previous artists) than I do with him. I’ve had 4 tattoos done previously by him and I’m currently working on a sleeve tattoo with Riq and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s coming out. I anticipate my upcoming sessions like a trip to Disneyland. I HIGHLY recommend trying out Riq I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

Riq fixed and added to a peice on my arm and I am very happy with it. He was super fast and super steady. His line work is great! He is very creative. Just referred my boyfriend to him as well and will be going back for my shoulder peice soon.

What a great place… I have been wanting an infinity tattoo to represent my kids. I explained what I wanted to Riq and he did exactly what I imagined. I love it!

I’m so glad my friend referred me to bloodlust. After work one day i got the biggest urge to get a tattoo that i’ve been wanting for a while. I spoke to Darren, one of the artists, and described to him what i was wanting. Other shops i had been talking to told me what i wanted would cost me about $ 100 even though every last one of them told me that it wouldnt take long at all to do. Darren told me he would do it for $ 75 and then informed me that they closed at 7:30pm that night so i rushed over as fast as i could because it was already 6:45 pm. When I arrived I was instantly greeted with a big smile and i could tell he was excited to get started. Its so refreshing to see someone who loves what they do as much as he did. I showed him a picture of what i wanted, with minor changes, and we got started. After the stencil, setting up the machines, and everything to artists do to get set up, he only took about 30 minutes to do my tattoo and made sure that i was absolutely in love before I left the store. And let me say Darren, i LOVVEEEEEE it. Bigger stores normally are busy and somewhat short with their customers. I have never had such amazing quality of customer service. I will defiantly be returning to get my other tattoos done by Darren. :)

I’m truly lucky to have been referred to Riq. I’m lucky to know people who knew him. I finally decided to get a tattoo (my first) which I was planning for over 8 years. It required incredibly straight lines and precision work. I came in his new shop to check out his catalogue and was very impressed with his work, including his straight lines which my tattoo heavily relied on. His newly opened shop is well equipped and all supplies including needles are brand new and disposable. I manage a dental office so I can tell that the environment and the supplies were clean and sterile. Riq does amazing freehand work, but here I was asking him to do a very specific, very technical image with lots of straight lines. «No problem» he said! I emailed him the image, told him the maximum dimensions and scheduled an appointment in 3 weeks. When I came in, we made some slight modifications to the image right there on his shop computer. He printed the image, traced it and transferred the image to my shoulder. I had a different placement in mind, but boy am I glad I trusted him entirely with the placement of the tattoo. Just 45 minutes later, I was done. His hand is THAT steady and he is THAT good. It could not have turned out better. He is one of the most professional people I’ve ever dealt with and a really nice guy to boot. I’m truly grateful for his amazing work and I’m already getting used to being complimented on just how nice my tattoo is. You can bet your house that should I decide to do another tattoo he will be the guy I seek. Thanks Riq!!!
