Excellent food and service! Our favorite is dynamite rolls and the Alaskan roll. Very good salmon. It just falls apart in your mouth!

I currently live in DC so when I fly back into town to see family, the first place I go for dinner is Sake 2 Me. I used to make the trek to Tustin, but now that one has opened in Simi, there’s no reason to go elsewhere. Service is good, and quality is on point. I always talk about the salmon suicide aka the plate of endless salmon sashimi that wraps around a tiny ball of rice… Still can’t believe that this is a thing. Advice: Ice Cream is on the ayce menu, but it isn’t formally written. So make sure you ask for it.

This was one of the best sushi restaurants that I have been to. Their fish was very fresh, service was impeccable, and restaurant/bathroom was clean. What more can you aak for? How about some AMAZING green tea ice cream that’s deep fried! #Amazeballs This place definitely deserves to receive 5 stars!

One word: horrible! So sorry to have tried their food! They have no right to call themselves a sushi restaurant! Everything is either tasteless, or drenched in spicy mayo and eel sauce. Even the edamame was no good:(i have no idea how this place got the 4.5 star rating on Unilocal!I guess it’s a good spot to watch sports on their big screen, maybe have a beer or two with some chicken teriyaki. But if you’re going for the sushi — DON’T! You’ll definitely be disappointed.

First time at this sushi place. Asked both the sushi chefs and waitress on popular sushi rolls, no one could recommend a roll. Sushi was good, clean place but wish they were more helpful.

Know the rules before you do All You Can Eat! You can’t take any food home and you’ll be charged for wasting any sushi that’s uneaten. So be sure you can eat what you order… The sushi was great. I was surprised at the quality for $ 25! I can’t recall all the different rolls we ordered(…crunch, mango, spicy albacore, calamari…) but my favorite was the Tapo Canyon. With a bottle of Sapporo, an appetizer won ton, and tiny scoop of ice cream, this was a great meal! The restaurant is also very clean, it was well-staffed, food was served promptly, and the décor was pretty.

An absolute delight. I generally avoid All You Can Eat Sushi places. I’m always slightly apprehensive of the quality of the fish they use, and the last thing I want is food-poisoning from sushi(it might ruin sushi forever for me). But after seeing all the spectacular reviews and having a serious craving for sushi, I absolutely had to give this place a try, and I can’t say I was disappointed. Before you start the AYCE game, you should know that you can’t take your leftovers home, and you will be charged with anything you waste, so keep that in mind when you order from the extensive menu. I tried the following over a lengthy and extremely satisfying meal: Nigiri Sushi: –Salmon –Tuna –Albacore –Yellowtail –Pepper Salmon –Pepper Tuna Rolls & Specialty Items: –Crab Meat Starter –Caterpillar Roll: California roll topped with eel –Spicy Tuna on a Crispy Rice Biscui For $ 25/AYCE, this is an incredibly deal considering the quality and taste of the fish. I was thoroughly impressed!

I’ve been on the hunt for an ayce sushi restaurant for awhile now & Unilocal lead me to Sake 2 Me. The ambiance of the restaurant is super modern & clean. I like that they give you a little complimentary appetizer(I’m not even sure what it was exactly but it was delicious!) Plum hot sake… yesssss! Wide variety of sushi/specialty rolls to choose from. I loved that they even offer some appetizers on the ayce menu(mussels, calamari, sashimi salad, etc.) everything we ordered was very fresh & tasty. Staff was very friendly, & tended to us quickly & professionally. Ayce was a fun way to try different kinds of sushi that I’d normally not risk paying full price for. sadly they didn’t have uni when we went! But can’t wait to try it next time. Oh! And did I mention that a small scoop of ice cream is included with your ayce price? Yay for ice cream! Can’t wait to come back soon :)

I go here about once a week. Great food. The only issues I have is; 1. They should get a better table/server system. Servers have brought us rolls that we didn’t order. One time they put it down, left, came back and took it to who ordered it. Other times they just told us it was a mistake and the roll was on the house. It seems like the servers just go to whatever table they want. A few times I have waited longer than needed to give my order and/or get my bill. 2. They need to clean their menus! They used to have different menus that were always sticky. Almost 3 months ago they got new menus well once again they are sticky. Don’t let this turn you away, this is one of the best places for sushi in Simi.

I went to this restaurant based on high praise from Unilocal reviewers-thanks! I wanted to take my girlfriend out to a special place for her birthday and I know she loves AYCE sushi. After perusing Unilocal,I selected Sake 2 Me Sushi in Simi Valley. First, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were a table of 4 and ordered the AYCE dinner at $ 25 each. We had a total of 17 dishes, which consisted of 5 nigiri sushi(2 pieces each); 8 fresh rolls(4 pieces each); 2 baked rolls(4 pieces each); 2 tempera rolls(8 pieces each). All this for $ 100! [IMPORTANTNOTE] The AYCE dinner is limited to 3 rounds so be sure to order all the you want to eat but not more than then you can finish. Inside the restaurant there is a sign that makes it very clear«excessive» orders will not be tolerated. See Grant(manager?) for details. In conclusion, my girlfriend was quite happy and we all enjoyed quality sushi at a very affordable price. That’s all anyone could ask. We will be back for sure.

Sake2me is pretty darn good and they don’t hold back on their portions. It has the ambiance of a classic pizza parlor that happens to serve all you can eat sushi. It is the right concept for Simi Valley residents and does well because of it. It is clean, yet doesn’t smell like bleach like Omega sushi. It has sports playing on multiple tv’s, but isn’t too Americanized or loud Kabuki Restaurant. The courtesy of the staff actually goes a long way in enhancing the flavor. Although I would have to fly to Japan to get 5 star sushi, Sake2me is my goto place for sushi when I don’t feel like driving far.

This place is fabulous. I go here at least once a month. There’s usually a bit of a wait so plan ahead. There was a man here tonight with two teenage boys, obviously divorced evidenced by the level of overcompensation he was exuding. He was an awful customer. I witnessed him writing a review and so I am writing to inform you potential customers that the wait staff did everything in their power to satisfy this man and his children with shellfish allergies. The man had made plans to go to a movie immediately after dinner. It was apparent that he had never in his life been to a sushi restaurant because he was unaware that the food is made to order and that it often contains allergens(I.e. Fish). My point is, despite having a douche wad sitting in their restaurant, the wait staff was polite and timely. They went above and beyond on my order(like usual) and on his.

We tried this restaurants sometime in 2014. All we remembered that the sushi was«decent», but not enough to break our O2 habit. We haven’t been back in over a year so we decided to give it another try. We went for lunch and tried an assortment of nigiri sushi and a few handrolls. On the plus side, they are pretty generous because they don’t pad the sushi with a ton of rice. In the end, you can load up on decent sushi for a fair price. However, if you’re not into rolls, and a bit picky about your sushi, this may not be the place for you. We normally go to sushi at O2 and we always get salmon egg sushi. At O2, the salmon eggs are excellent: they taste fresh, have good salmon flavor, and almost«sweet». At Sake2Me, the salmon eggs taste a bit salty. It reminds me somewhat of smoked/preserved dried fish(«tinapa»), which is not really what I want in sushi. I did not bother asking for uni(another yardstick I use to judge sushi restaurants). I don’t think it’s part of the all-you-can-eat menu, anyway.

All you can eat for a bargain! $ 20AYCE lunch and $ 24 for dinner is awesome anywhere. There are an array of tempura, hand and cut, nigiri, speciality, and baked rolls that will have you salivating to no end. Plus Tsukidashi is offered which is always fun(freebie treat from the sushi chefs) This is the place to go to indulge in your deep fried mayoey sushi lust as most of the rolls have extensive use of mayoes and eel sauces. I am definitley not complaining :) Fish is of decent quality but hey, we are paying $ 20 for an all you can eat lunch amiright? Check this place out for decent rolls at a unbeatable price in Simi Valley!

Well worth the drive from the Valley! The pepper salmon, salmon, scallop, albacore, yellowtail and smelt egg sushi are some of my all-time favorites. Great fish to rice ratio. If you’re coming for the AYCE, don’t start with a specialty roll! Too much rice, too soon. Also a huge fan of their gyoza(fried only, not steamed), edamame, tempura and(extra stuffed) hand rolls.

My family and I ate here once, about a few months ago. Originally, I wanted us to go to Midori, but I decided to try something new. We were seated pretty quickly. Appetizer were brought right away. Our server was a nice girl with a pretty smile. There’s were 5 of us; we all ordered what we wanted. After a bout 15 minutes they brought our food and there were three of the sushi orders missing. She apologized for the Chef’s mistake; however they never brought them. We ordered more food and again one item was missing. I don’t know what the issue was; maybe they didn’t want us to eat too much. Lol Also, they charged us extra for cucumber roll and a couple of other vegetarian rolls; wait a minute, if it’s all you can eat, wouldn’t the management be happy that one of us wanted sushi that cost them less to make? Hello, No fish cost less. Anyway, the price is right, but we didn’t think food was all that good; it was just ok. Overall, we weren’t impressed or too disappointed with this sushi house, but I don’t think we’d go out of our way to eat here again.

My first time here I came during the week for lunch on a short lunch break so I didn’t have enough time to try as much as I wanted to for«All you can eat» but what I had was so good that I knew I’d have to come back for more. My second visit was just as good as the first. Until about 2 years ago the only thing I would try at a sushi restaurant was a California roll & any roll that was tempura style until my friend got me to try albacore. Once I had the magical fish that was albacore I was over my fear of eating raw fish. I’ve probably only been to 10 different sushi restaurants but the albacore here is easily in my top 3. As far as the rest of the food goes they have some really good interesting items on the menu. The O.M.G special is one of my favorites. For about $ 20 for lunch & $ 25 for dinner this is an AYCE sushi place you should try. It’s a decent size restaurant with a lot of space to accommodate groups, & the sushi bar in the front probably seats around 7 people.

Rating: 2 Stars I took my mom here for mother’s day dinner in May. I absolutely love sushi, and she had never tried it before, so I thought this place fit as it had great reviews. The service was really great, however the food was OK. We did the all you can eat option which was approx. $ 27/person(I want to say???) which was a mistake, because we spent maybe $ 40 worth of sushi & were charged close to $ 100 for a tiny portion of food and a couple of drinks. We began with Miso Soup which was al-right. I ordered crab sushi, avocado roll, baked lobster rolls, California roll, 911 Roll, and I cant even remember what else. The food was OK. They also are very strict on finishing everything on your plate. They do not bring you additional orders until everything on your plate is finished. We even got charged, because a few rolls were so bad & we could not for the life of us finish them. They made a huge scene when my 50 year old mother and I ordered alcohol(sapporo & a zinfandel wine for mom). I could understand them carding my 23– year old self, but they made my mom feel really uncomfortable — especially since she didn’t mind showing ID if she was asked politely. They asked her 3x as well if I was«legally» able to drink after checking my ID, because the didn’t know if my ID was«real». Not sure I would personally recommend this place to anyone.

If you want AYCE sushi, Sake 2 Me is the 805 spot! I’ve been to the Sake 2 Me Sushi in their Montclair location and it was amazing! Everything was pretty much the same where you wait, get seated, order from a listed sheet of how much of what they have to offer at a round at a time(3 rounds of orders total) and boom! You get your sushi: D I just really didn’t like how big the plates the sushi were served on and once they were brought upon our small table, my family and I felt obligated to finish the sushi fast because the next plate was already coming for us and we didn’t have much room for where the server will place it down :( I truly wish they took into consideration of waiting it out when we’re ready for more sushi than just try to lay it down as fast as they can… ya feel me? Also, not a fan of their brick décor. Maybe it was previously a pizza place and they took over so they are trying to make it more Japanese style but it just felt weird lol But love the Sake 2 Me Sushi drawings and artwork created by the customers. Definitely adds a family feel. Would love to come back for their $ 23.95 of AYCE sushi for dinner because you can eat your money’s worth!
