Dr thomas is a pain, I have to wait when I see him, he tells me things that I don’t want to hear, and he saved my life!!!

Dr. Walter Thomas saved my life. I was a 17 year old who was addicted to prescription pills. Yes, he isn’t the sweetest man right away but sometimes that is what you need. He told me the truth and he wasn’t afraid to tell me how I was hurting myself and my future. I am now almost 22 and clean. He was a tough man at first and after my first appt I told my parents I never wanted to go back to him because he wasn’t nice. However, once I accepted that I had a problem and was open to him about my addictions, I grew to love him and respect him for wanting to help me. Whenever I have a check up appt or I need to change my medication around, he is always so warm and interested in my life and how I am doing. He remembers everything! Always asks about my parents, school, work, etc. he is just an amazing man and once you give him the chance to help you, he will do everything he can to be there for you. He is always available even if you need him at 1 in the morning! I will be honest, he is a tough man and he isn’t going to sugar coat things. I would highly recommend him! And his staff is awesome! The girl at the front desk is so sweet and the girl who takes you to your room and takes your vitals is a sweetheart! Give him a chance, he’s one awesome man!

What is the point of making an appointment if the doctor is not going to be on time himself? I had appointments set (two different times) and both times he made me wait over 40 minutes to see him! I was shocked that a respected doctor in this community conducts his office visits in this manner. Very unprofessional. I want to thank the front-​office girl for giving me a refund for the office visit, she was very understanding and apologetic.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Thomas for over two years now, and couldn’t be happier with him. He takes his time and listens to what you have to say. He doesn’t run unnecessary tests, as he is practical. However, he does pay attention to detail and your personal file and will initiate tests that are in your best interest. The office is very clean, modern and friendly. As far as the office staff and nurses, they are top notch! Very friendly and accommodating, and they go above and beyond in any way that they can to assist you or make you comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas.

I can’t fathom the other reviews. I’m giving only 4 stars from caution as my experience is relatively brief, fewer than 5 visits. I’ve seen a careful, compassionate and knowledgable addiction expert. The office runs smoothly and I was seen without delay, less than with my primary care doc. Office staff has been well informed and efficient. I plan to follow up this review when I have a few more visits.

Dr. Thomas has it all. Comfortable setting, excellent people skills and communication, and a thorough investigative attitude. Highly recommended!

Went to this guy to get help for my sister who has a substance abuse problem. He is a cold and disinterested doctor. She has a myriad medical issues from a recent fall. We had to insist on getting him to do a medication review and even then he blew us off. He might be a good doc and work for some, but my sis is so damaged from her accident that a kind word would have been appropriate. Harsh words from someone you just met don’t help to build the necessary trust between a patent and a dr.

Dr. Thomas is one of those rare physicians who really listens, spends the time and provides great professional care. He doesn’t rush into expensive tests or surgeries. He is thoughtful and caring. His office staff is welcoming and helpful. Dr. Thomas and his staff really helped us through our son’s injury.
