Givot Irv Dr DC

I went to Dr. Givot years ago when I first started developing adolescent scoliosis. I noticed that one part of my back was more hunched than the others and that my ribs were unbalanced. He saw me and confirmed that I had scoliosis but that he needed an x-​ray to see exactly where I was at. I was 13 years old at the time and my family and I were all very concerned to hear that my scoliosis was getting serious once he received my x-​ray. I remember looking at the x-​ray in shock. By the way, keep in mind both me and my family had little knowledge of scoliosis and how far it could go at my age. However he said with several sessions of going to him for some «adjustments» that in time it would be fixed and put back into place. We wanted to seek another option but he assured us we were safe in his hands. He would work on my back for sometimes only 2 minutes a session. And i had been going to him. for now about 6 months. And my pain only seemed to increase. It was pretty excruciating. I decided to go against what he said and see a doctor from the hospital. I asked for my copy of the x-​ray back, which I had full ownership of since we paid for it and had gotten it done from an entirely different clinic. He said it was his copy and he wouldn’t give it to us. My mother was very upset by this. We thought he was exhibiting pretty sketchy behavior bc he was soo persistent about us not seeing another doctor. Once I went to my new doctor and soon to be surgeon, she alarmed us with the news that with adolescent scoliosis it will only get worse and that I should have seen her months ago (before my growth spurt). bc now at that time I was at the point of no return. So I was to have surgery within the month! Which I ended up doing. 2 titanium rods and several screws fused to my spine later and now here i am, 7 years later. Dr. Givot showed little to no effort while I was under his care. He was very dishonest & held back the truth from me while I was his client just so he could keep my business. He, in my opinion, is very untrustworthy.
