Was staying at the Black Butte Ranch and decided to try this place and was pleasantly surprised. Really pretty good food all around with a little bit of innovation. We started with the deviled eggs with smoked steelhead and it was great, 4⁄5. The fish and chips was solid too, especially the fries as was the side salad 4⁄5. Food was a little pricey, but not for resort food. Overall a good experience. Check it out.

Had a chicken sandwich that was incredibly small. Caesar salad was good. Pricy for what you get.

We have eaten here several times. They change the menu by seasons but everything we have had there, including when we have gone with others has been very good. We have never been disappointed!

Tips for where/what to eat on your first night at ranch below. You would think that a resort like Black Butte would have quality control over the few restaurants that operate at the ranch. We decided to get dinner at Robert’s Pub the night of our arrival rather than having to unpack and then cook. We thought the buttermilk fried chicken, pork quesadillas, fish & chips and a bowl of chili all sounded yummy. Umm… no… The fried chicken had not one speck of seasoning to it and was very, very dry, it was hard to swallow without a drink, the worst was the dip that came with it as it was nose-wrinkling nasty, like someone had driven thru a KFC and asked for a mixture of all their sauces in one cup and serve. We have never done this before but we asked the waitress to take the chicken back to the kitchen, we didn’t want it. The chili, I believe that it was supposed to be a Chili Verde, was very sweet, it was a con carne but really should have used beans as it was more of a salsa texture. We each had a bite of the pork quesadilla and determined it to be too sweet and inedible. The one saving grace was the Fish & Chips. The french fries were actually good and the fish wasn’t bad, wasn’t great either, but wasn’t bad. I also liked the beet salad, my husband didn’t though. Also… most importantly, we ordered a Moito and another specialty drink, each one was waaaaayyyyy to sweet to drink. My husband accidentally spilled his and we really hoped that they wouldn’t bring another, but they did. My advice is to make the drive to Sisters, it’s only a 10 – 15 drive, there is no need to have to eat at Robert’s. We’ve eaten at the Lodge several times in the past and it was good but it is closed for now. If you really don’t want to cook on your first night here, I saw some good looking frozen lasagna and casseroles, made locally, in the general market here, we plan on grabbing one of those next time we come.

Service and setting great. We had the soft shell Sandwith and I loved it, great bun. Asian tuna salad just ok, dressing a little flavorless. Beautiful spot and views. Reasonable prices

Love all of the eating options at Black Butte Ranch. My family has enjoyed Robert’s several times while the Lodge is being remodeled. We have taken food to go back to the house and have enjoyed several dinners in the restaurant. Last night we went with friends(4 adults and 4 kids age 10 – 16) and had a wonderful meal. Paul was our server — and he is always excellent! Started with the oyster special — very good — and our standard favorite the sweet potato fries. I enjoyed the Rogue burger for dinner while my wife has the steak salad. Both were delicious. Our kids splurged and each had steak and loved them. The kids Mac & Cheese is always a favorite too. Robert’s is a very welcoming place. Great employees and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend all of the BBR restaurants and look forward to the Lodge restaurant and pub opening again in May.

Café in the golf pro shop is comfortable with good service, but menu is limited and having eaten there twice found it to be out of some items. Even out of syrup for morning pancakes and French toast. Not bad, not great.

Not bad just not great. Make some fresh hand cut fries to compliment the sandwich would be nice and notice when you ask for drink orders and you get puzzled looks it’s because you haven’t handed out the drink menu.

Horrible! Rude hostess, incompetent manager. Place was empty, yet we waited one hour with a reservation. We too were visiting from Southern CA. Skip it. Many delightful and friendly spots in Sisters. A much better bet.

Good simple food, ample parking, and a nice view over the gorgeous Central Oregon Landscape. We like to come with the kids, order food and a drink and then let them do some putting or rolling down grassy hills to kill the time before said food arrives.

Wow! Awesome view and fantastic food. We were vacationing from Southern CA and this place did not disappoint. Robert’s pub was highly recommended by some local Oregonians in Sisters, OR. The new chef Mark even came out of the kitchen and personally introduced himself and asked how we liked the special entrée that we ordered. Well, it was fantastic! It was sherry-braised shrimp with linguisa sausage, and fried risotto balls, leek with fennel seed and sweet bell peppers. Amazing!!! For appetizers, we ordered grilled Black Cod Tacos which was very good, except it should have been served on corn tortillas, in my opinion. We also ordered the special Bloody Mary with bacon-infused Vodka. One of the best bloody mary’s ever! And a dessert drink, the Coffee Nudge. So yummy.
