Urgent Medicalcare of Skaneateles

I brought my son here last night with back pain he has been complaining about for a few weeks. I thought he may have pulled a muscle, but instead of going away, the pain has recently gotten worse. He plays sports and his coach brought it to my attention, so I decided to bring him in to the Skaneateles Urgent care, since it is right near our home and has convenient hours.
We were seen by a PA named Amy. She talked to us and said she would have an X-​ray done, but that we wouldn’t get any answers here and should follow up with an orthopedist. Then the X-​Ray tech came and took my son for his X-​ray. He was very nice and explained a lot to my son while he was doing the X-​ray. We were told they were waiting for someone to read the results.
We waited in the room for one hour. Then the nurse came in with discharge papers and started telling us that my son could take ibuprofen and we should follow up. This is the conversation that followed:
Me: Follow up for what? What did the X-​ray show?
Nurse: Well, it says here the X-​rays were negative. She (meaning Amy, the PA) didn’t come back and talk to you?
Me: No. Last I knew we were waiting for someone to read the X-​rays.
Nurse: Oh, would you like to talk to her?
Me. Yes. I still have questions.
Actually, I still thought the PA would at least examine my son. He was complaining of back pain. She never even LOOKED at his back. Never so much as looked at the area where he had pain. What if there was obvious bruising? Or some structural abnormality? Nope. Never checked this out. She never asked him to move certain ways (bend over, move his legs up, etc.) to see if certain movements made it hurt. She never touched the area to see if it was swollen or if it hurt more to press on it, etc. What if it wasn’t even his back? What if it was pain from his kidneys that he was feeling in his back? There was literally no physical examination. And she had sent the nurse to discharge us! What a waste of our time.
After thinking about all of this, and waiting for around ten more minutes for her to talk to us, I decided to just leave. I will not go here again.
