Vernak Farms Country Store

Unique restaurant/​country store/​pharmacy just outside Skaneateles — awesome food, excellent service! They have the best sandwiches — tons of different choices and all delicious! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and attentive: they seem like a great team with a strong sense of camaraderie and they really value customer service. Pizza and wings are great too. This place is definitely worth a visit for both locals and tourists.

We stayed at a cabin on the east side of Skaneateles Lake earlier this summer, probably a little further from the village of Skaneateles than we would have liked. Fortunately, this nice country store /​deli /​pharmacy /​convenience store was only a few miles up the road, and included lots of life’s little necessities.
The building has a nice front porch, where an older woman was selling jewelry on a table, and there are a few nice tables for sitting and eating. Inside, there’s a deli counter, a druggist’s counter, a few nice tables for sitting, and a medium-​sized convenience store stocked with the basics (milk, beer, etc) and some not-​so basics (chocolate pizza!).
We ate lunch one day at the deli — I had some pizza and a pasta salad. They also have sandwiches, heros, wings, fries, and other deli foods. They serve ice cream by the scoop right next to the deli.
The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and during the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day), the store is open from 8 AM to 8 PM every day.
