Warning! Do not use this contractor. We used him for $ 20K job in Wilmette on our new home that included painting the interior and refinishing the wood floors. It was an absolute nightmare that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Cipry, the owner is an extremely confrontational and hostile man once he has you under contract to do work. Everything that goes wrong with the job is your fault or a problem with your home and the way it was constructed. For example, after applying the top coat of poly to the floors there were small bubbles everywhere. We called Cipry to let him know and he started yelling at us that we’ve ruined his day and that there are going to be imperfections in the refinished wood floor. He came the next day and agreed that the floors needed to be redone. He then only redid the first floor despite there being bubbles throughout the house. We called him to come back and fix all the floors and again there was more yelling at us for something that his contractors did wrong. The stairs and landings are a completely different color which is the fault of the wood in my five year old home that wasn’t like that before he refinished the wood floors. There are unblended marker scribbles on the floor used to cover spilled paint and imperfections. The banister is hanging off the wall as a result of pulling the spindles out to refinish the stair treads but that his again due to the age of my 5 year old home. There are many great contractors on Angies List, I urge you to use one of them and stay away from Cipry Construction.
