PM & Associates

I contracted with Peter Kostas of PM & Associates to complete a renovation of my home for +/​-​$ 55,000. The job was supposed to take 60 days but after 140 days the job still wasn’t complete (this was back on 1÷22÷15). Now that it is 5÷20÷15, the job still isn’t complete some 268 days after the construction commenced. Peter is now refusing to complete the job and won’t refund the dollars owed to finish the work. All he has left to do is purchase four (4) doors and install them, but he cannot complete this task. I have already paid for the doors and the work.
The contract included $ 250 per day of liquidated damages, which Peter is completely ignoring. I have tried to reach an amicable settlement so that both parties could «walk away» but Peter is completely shirking his responsibilities. With that being said, the quality of the the work that was completed is excellent — he’s got great people actually completing the work. It’s a shame that with such good work, the contractor can’t perform in the same manner. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT hire PM & Associates!
