Food was good as well as the service. It was our first time here and they do NOT honor the coupon when you check in. FYI. Unilocal offers it and apparently per the manager of this location they never gave Unilocal the authorization to solicit this coupon. So you’ll have to buy your own.

More thought went into the Art design of the Menu than the preparation of the food. The Salad bar was barely passable. Service was OK. I can’t hold the nice gal responsible for the dreck she brought out. This is food for people who don’t like to eat.

The service was some of the worse i have experienced. Whilst the two bar staff were responsible for telephone and take out orders, the bar itself only sat 7. It took 15 minutes before i was asked if i wanted a drink. After i finished that one i waited another 15 minutes with an empty glass before being asked again. It was over 90 minutes with a menu in front of me before i was asked if i wanted anything to eat. Whilst I appreciate the kitchen was backed up, that is no excuse for lack of attention. When I initially sat down, and waited, the guy next to me was finishing off his dinner. He said ‘the service has been terrible, you’ll be waiting a lot’. I should have listened and left.

If I could zero stars, I would. The spinach dip appetizer was cold, the salad bar was old. The service was the worst part. I had to scream across the room to get biscuit’s. He never filled up our drinks. I had to ask twice for my check. I will never go there again!!!

Well its Tuesday and 1 Kid meal free with each Adult entrée purchase! I recall my last visit in December not being so favorable so Im very happy to say my waitress-Patty was amazing and that made dining here such a good night! Food was delicious-i ordered my usual Hickory bourbon pork chop with onion rings and green beans!

Our family(party of 7) celebrated my wife’s birthday here last night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We ate in the rear area, and, despite the fact that there was another large party nearby, our service was excellent, and the noise level was low. We had an outstanding server, Gus: attentive, most helpful with suggestions, polite, and quiet but efficient in executing his duties. The food was superb: from the salad bar, with its large selection of fresh components, to the perfectly prepared, high quality, and flavorful entrees, which included chicken, salmon, and burgers. The pace of service was completely appropriate. And thank you, RT, for placing large mugs of ice water on the table without the sometimes necessary request(TGIF, take notice).

Excellent spot right off the I-90, where the Hampton Inn is which made it very convenient for my father’s birthday celebration. The food was great, albeit slightly late which wouldn’t have been an issue hadn’t my family been in a rush. Our server, Jordan, was great which made up for it. He was very attentive, often filling drinks before we could ask and was terrific with anticipating our needs! All in all a very nice experience and will come again.

I have eaten at Ruby Tuesday many times with my parents, and they eat there quite frequently. We have always enjoyed the food and service; never had any issues. However, we just came back from lunch and are disappointed with a situation that occurred here today. My mother ordered a chicken fresco entrée and a significant portion of her chicken breast was inedible(tough, gristle, etc — maybe ¼ of the breast). She pointed it out to our server who apologized but did not offer her anything else to make up for part of her lunch that she was unable to eat(perhaps another chicken breast, a dessert, $$ off the bill?) My mother isn’t one to make a big fuss, but she figured maybe bringing it up to a manager would help but the manager simply told her«thanks for letting me know» — no offer to rectify the situation or make up for them serving inedible food. I understand that these things happen and it’s especially hard to see when cooking chicken, but when it’s brought to the attention of a server or management, something should be done to replace that food item. We were not pleased with the way that this was handled.

Stayed at the hampton inn out in skokie for a weekend long class. Ended up lost. Finally made it back to my hotel. Walked over to the Ruby Tuesday. Stressed out by myself. Had a great bartender who talked to me and made me feel welcome to sit as long as I needed to settle. This was on September 27. in the evening. He was wonderful. Just wanted to say thanks !

First time I ate here at Ruby Tuesday for lunch. Our waitress was Jeannine. The service was okay but it looked like a slow day for the servers. There weren’t a lot of customers in the restaurant at the time. I had the cajun rib eye steak well done with grilled jumbo shrimp skewer. The cajun rib eye steak was okay but it’s nothing to write home about. I didn’t taste anything spicy from the Cajun spices they added. I’ve eaten better steaks at other steakhouses such as Longhorn Steakhouse in Skokie, L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge in Lincolnwood, and Lonestar Steakhouse in Gurnee. The jumbo shrimp skewer wasn’t much but it definitely wasn’t worth paying $ 3.49 just for 3 shrimps as you can see from the photos I provided. My mom had the Herb-Crusted Tilapia. She said the fish was good. She also had salad from the salad bar but the salad dressing tasted salty. Lastly, do not use Unilocal’s banner coupon ad they advertise on your smartphone for restaurants. The waitress said Ruby Tuesday does not honor coupons from Unilocal!because it does not have a bar code that they need to scan at the cash register. Ruby Tuesday had asked Unilocal!to stop making up coupons for their restaurants. The waitress said that if you want to use online coupons, download the RetailMeNot app to your smartphone where it has updated coupons with barcodes they can scan.

We recently visited this Ruby Tuesday since it’s attached to the Hampton Inn were we stayed. All we were looking for was drinks and appetizers since none of us had eaten that morning. That’s exactly what we had. Big Dipper Sampler — Southern style chicken tenders, cheese fries, Thai spring rolls, and fried mozzarella. My favorite was the Thai springs rolls, surprisingly. The spicy chile sauce that it came with was very tasty! We also had a few beers. I always forget about Ruby Tuesday’s and their salad buffet they offer. Pretty solid lunch spot.

Ordered crab cakes with a side of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were clearly from a can or a mix, but they tasted OK so whatever. The crab cakes were average. The food poisoning from the crab cakes hit me later that night and the vomiting lasted two days. If you are driving by this place, keep on driving.

And so it came to pass that Mrs B received an offer from Ruby Tuesday for a free birthday hamburger. And she invited me to join her — and pay for my part of the meal, and she would pay for her sandwich. She is very understanding that way!(She understands how to simultaneously freeload and stiff me with the bill.) We came here with a tad of apprehension because some Unilocalers claimed that this Ruby Tuesday is dirty. Tain’t so: I saw little evidence of any dirtiness. There were a few bread crumbs on the floor, but everything seemed A-OK to me. I even inspected under the table for ossified chewing gum, but found nothing. Just call me «Drunken Hines.» We were promptly seated at a booth and our waitress greeted us promptly. Since the promotion was for a free hamburger, she chose one and I obediently followed her lead. While waiting for the main course, we were furnished sodas and a few complimentary(and forgettable) little muffins. While our waitress disappeared into the ether for 10+ minutes, we patiently waited and discussed matter of the day, such as our elder daughter’s forthcoming marriage to a guy named«Guy.» Mrs. B complained that the place was cold. She said she was frigid, and I concurred(that is a double entendre, for the uninitiated.) The temperature in the area where we were sitting must have been no more than 65 F, and a family sitting at an adjacent table also agreed that something was messed up. The temperature in the adjoining bar and buffet area was substantially warmer. The waitress reappeared after 10 – 15 minutes with our sangwitches and refilled our drinking glasses. She once again exited, possibly entering the Twilight Zone. Nothing was particularly memorable about the sandwiches. They were plain, standard-issue burgers accompanied by fries. They were not particularly outstanding, but there was nothing substandard about them either. Frankly, I am not as critical as others about the quality nor presentation of the food. It was average, and I evaluated it as average. Service was average — and the waitress should have stopped by a bit more frequently. So I am giving this location an average rating. And I really mean average, not below-average, in my opinion. PS: Did you know that Ruby Tuesday was named after the Rolling Stones song? Really! Ruby Tuesday is a restaurant chain owned by Morrison, Inc. Ironically, Jim Morrison was the lead singer of The Doors, a rival band. He died a while ago, but it had nothing to do with Ruby Tuesday restaurants: he probably died from drug abuse, not Ruby Tuesday’s food. And I have no comments about the doors leading into this building, either.

Fantastic, wonderful, really good, acceptable, mediocre… these are all delightful words, and none of them are applicable to this establishment on this day. Awful — just straight awful from the word go here. Granted, a bit of a «shame on me» for going here in the first place. But you still need to try I suppose, and I’m not so sure Ruby Tuesday did even that tonight. What was so bad, you might ask? *Wife’s margarita tasted more like overly sweet limeade than anything resembling an actual margarita. Even after sending it back, it came back essentially the same. *Queso appetizer consisted of stale chips and what looked like luke-warm cheese food product(not likely actual cheese) and canned tomato dip that you see in the velveeta ads. I think it was about here we punted on trying to send things back for being bad, as we were hungry and pushing the boundaries of our daughters patience and attention span. *Entrees came out maybe warm(ish?). Pretty much everything was bland, obviously something we could just get at Costco, and generally pretty lousy. We both left with partially eaten plates, upset stomachs, and copious regret. *Apparently, not all the kids meal entrees come with one of the listed sides. This was only discovered when I saw the $ 3.75 charge for a tiny cup of grapes to go with some mac and cheese(also not warm). That’s just robbery… and the final straw. After having to further complain about our lackluster experience, our waitress was kind enough to comp the most expensive grapes in the history of mankind. So, with all of that being said — to the Ruby Tuesday in Skokie by Old Orchard Mall: We don’t come with outrageous expectations. We just wanted a meal out as a family. What we got was barely that… and we paid heavily for the«privilege» of gastrointestinal discomfort and regret. I started with some shame on me, and maybe some chain restaurant regret. But — it is 100% shame on you. Start trying.

Charlie Green said it best, «Well, well, well…» He was singing the«Chicago Bus Stop» but he could have been referring to Ruby Tuesday. It’s the kind of expression reserved when people are surprised to see someone somewhere at some time… you get it. Look at all the reviews… people slam it but eat here – with extended family. I’m not going down that route… face it the food could be found in your local grocers frozen food aisle next to the deserts they serve but I’m not slamming the food. Nor I’m not going to slam the kitsch décor… could care less. This is the place you eat if you are too tired to do something… it’s the fuck it I don’t want to drive or leave the hotel option. I mean it’s 3 stars all the way. The salad bar is fine… they have a bar, it’s cheap, and fast. If McDonald’s had a twin that fancied khakis and polo shirts it would be a place like this but Ruby would be too proud to talk to Ronald. See what I’ve done… everyone is too good for something. What’s one persons dump is another person’s graduation choice is another person’s bastard burger. I’m waxing philisophical over a chain… finally my point– Don’t get your hopes up.

You know what’s fun? Being in Chicagoland and eating at a Ruby Tuesdays! Ok, maybe not so much, but I like seeing my family even if they pick odd restaurants. BC this is in a hotel, there’s no real lobby to the restaurant. Our table was ready, if missing a chair, so we didn’t have to stand awkwardly by the door. The salad bar is sketch, but I went for a burger on a pretzel bun and it was really quite good. Our waiter was nice, but… clearly not going to moving up to a fancier restaurant any time soon.

Salad bar is always well stocked and clean. Looks, like a chef specially washed and dried each leaf of spinach. Petite filet is a great value! Zinfandel selection is on the light side, more like a pinot, but it pairs well with the steak. Mt friend — the wings expert– says the wings are really good. He ate all 8!

Even with a Ruby Tuesday within walking distance of my home, it has been at least a decade since I’ve been to this large chain. This RT location was adjacent to my motel, and I was too tired from travel to drive very far. My general impressions were then, as they are now; picture an attempt by a high school cafeteria to operate a commercial eatery, and you won’t be off by very much. The general run of the menu is uninspiring, prepared without inspiration and presented in a dining experience which borders upon amateurish. On the upside, their salad bar is decent and varied. A bit more attention to rinsing the cleaning solution from the salad greens would have improved my assessment, but this was the highlight of Monday’s dinner none the less. Hats off to my waitress for the evening, Pat. When my medium rare steak was brought to the table it was visually apparent that«medium rare» was actually«medium well.» All it took was a smile to Pat for her to realize the kitchen’s error, and it was re-fired quickly. The quality of the rib eye was quite low-grade, but it was seasoned well. I’m grateful that nothing I ate here got me sick, but next time I’ll drive to one of the many nearby restaurants.

I have not been to my local Ruby Tuesday in so many years but welcomed the menu with caloric consumption documented. I chose the Spaghetti squash with marinara sauce and zucchini and loved the dish. My son had the Buffalo tenders with fries and that was typical. The service was good and attentive, but I was a little peeved when I Unilocaled in and they questioned the free dessert offer. The cupcake I got was suboptimal but I didn’t have room to check their desserts or salad bar. I’ll be back.

Really wish i got the bartenders name, or could remember. I sat at a high table near the bar and he made sure to give me the proper attention and conversation. Great social bartender and very friendly. For that i am giving 4 stars, but will update this if i come back to eat
