I fell in love with my professors glasses so I had to ask where she got them! before going to SEE I looked around for large, brown square glasses– the vision I had for my glasses and what works for my round face! I couldn’t find them anywhere! All frames were too small for my liking so I finally decided suck it up and travel 50 mins to go look at SEE.
This place is pretty awesome. The store is very clean, organized and full of friendly employees. The frames are made in Europe and each store gets a limited quantity so you won’t see everyone and their mother wearing the SAME frame (cough ray bans cough) The lenses are included in the price of the frame (ONLY for single vision, for bifocals like myself you get a $ 99 credit) my frames were $ 159.00 however with my poly carbonate lenses, with anti glare etc the total for my insurance was over $ 600 so the more I think about that the more I am confused. I didn’t pay much out of pocket though so that’s all that matters.
I really cannot wait to pick up my glasses next week!!!

The clerk at See at Old Orchard read my chart incorrectly and had me wearing the wrong contact in the wrong eye when I came to pick up the contacts. Later I called the optometrist there and she acknowledged that the clerk was wrong and I was right about which contact was for which eye. They also ordered more contacts for me but never called me to tell me that they had arrived. No apologies for any of the errors. I love their glasses but there seems to be limited communication between employees and a lack of politeness.

Limited edition frames, all handmade in countries with high laborer protection standards (like Holland and France)?

Prices are incredibly reasonable considering the above! Who wants to look like a sheeple? Love my «Tiffany blue» frames!

I’ve been here five times now. Every time I’m here the staff is incredible and the choices are excellent! On top of that, my glasses were discounted a HUGE amount because of their latest groupon. Purple today!!! I will be back here next week for the Orange ones!!!

When it comes to my glasses I’m picky. They are the one fashion accessory I wear every day and I don’t want to have the same pair as everyone else on the street. I have gone to just about ever glasses store in the Suburbs and probably half of them in the city also. I always come back to See to buy my glasses. The frames here are different and stand out. They are also made well. I dropped mine in the wave pool at Disney and stepped on them and they were fine only a few scratches and none noticeable on the lenses. I also always get top notch service at See. Went to the Old Orchard location for the first time last night to meet Mondo and everyone working in the store was super friendly. Even though there was a good size crowd in the store they were helping everyone out and giving everyone plenty of time. I bought myself a pair in Chicago and she even told me to come back there if I ever need adjustments. I also appreciate that they tell you the truth about how you look. I would much rather hear in the store that I look like a train wreck then on the street. This is the place to go if you want trendy glasses and great service!

I’ve been going to SEE Eyewear for years. Both my current glasses are SEE purchases and I have absolutely no doubt that my next purchase will be from SEE as well. Why? Because not only do they have the «cool» frames, they have the customer service to compliment them. Each time I have gone into one of their stores, and the Old Orchard store in particular, I’ve been met with a smile and the type of service that is there when I want it but allows me to browse without pressure when I don’t. And — extremely important to me — when I ask for an honest opinion about the frames I am trying on, I get it. Jenny, the manager, has helped me pick out both my current frames and I couldn’t be happier.
Sidenote: SEE offers excellent Groupons on occasion as well. Someone wrote about hidden fees? Pfft … are these people READING the Groupons at all? I’ve never had an issue with them.

My partner and I both got our current eyeglasses from See. She got hers at the store on Clark; I got mine out at Old Orchard. We have both come to the conclusion that they are outrageously expensive and that their customer service is hit-​and-​miss. Read the other reviews here to understand, I guess. I can see where people doing these reviews experienced snootiness at this store. I did, too. We went there because we got suckered in my the Groupon offer, but never again. Maybe if you’ve got money to burn you can get your glasses here, but not us. Back to Costco we go! I wish I could get my money back from both See and Groupon. Lesson learned, I guess.

First, I was very disappointed with their customer service. You can tell the lady who was working did not want to be there. I was hoping the other worker would step up and help me but she was too busy doing something on her iPhone.
Secondly, I had a Groupon. I found out that there were all these hidden extra fees, so I changed my mind about making the purchase. The worst part was the worker had already registered my Groupon and basically wasted my Groupon credits. I can not get any refund or credit back. I can’t believe she didn’t even warn me. DIRTY!
I am NEVER going to come back here again!
