Never had an issue here except periodic long lines. Patient staff, and good service. Located right in Old Orchard mall it is quite convenient. I like to pop in and take a look around at the new/seasonal stuff. Signing up for the rewards program is worth it for the periodic free drinks.

Not my favorite Starbucks location, but the service is fast and the staff is polite. I sometimes work at this mall, and my only complaint would be that I hate being the one who has to walk to the other side of this outdoor mall just for a coffee run. I go to other locations, and I seem to connect with the staff. The employees at this location are not much for small talk. I guess I can say I am not surprised given the attitude of most of the visitors that roll through on my end of the mall. I figure they must visit here first, noticing the unmistakable Starbucks cup in their hand when they check in for an exam. Keep on, keeping on, staff. I know you guys are troopers just the same if you can survive a shift working at this mall!

Notoriously one of the city’s worst Starbucks. Always overstuffed and yet never more than one person making drinks. The remaining 5 or 6 people just dawdle, stand around, or sit in the back doing god knows what. They make your drink properly but set aside a good 30 minutes of your day if you plan on swinging by. Why they don’t teach more people how to work on the coffee bar is one of life’s great mysteries. Why you need 8 people to restock a pastry case is another.

This location can be pretty busy at times. In other words 8 to 10 people in line. This is not to suggest that the workers cannot make the drinks fast enough it’s just that this place is located in the middle of old Orchard Mall and there are many out there that need their coffee fix. I will say that I feel is though sometimes the quality of their drinks is lacking. I recently got a passionfruit lemonade and it tasted very watered-down. I’ve had this drink several times before and know when it is made just right. I did not bother to ask them to remake it as I’m sure they would have. Everyone there is very friendly. Outside of coffee, they have a wide variety of treats and Panini sandwiches. If you have a sweet tooth, I definitely suggest getting the glazed old-fashioned donut or the Michigan cherry bar. Both will leave you waiting in hopeful anticipation of winning time will allow you to come back so you can says fire sugar craving once again.

I thought the mall Starbucks at Oak Brook was terrible but this one gives it a run for its money. Always slow. Takes forever to make drinks. Terrible layout. Came in on a Saturday night and no debit or credit csn be taken.

The coffee was fine. They got the order right but everything else is thumbs down. Boxes r on the shop floor by the washroom. They’re out of napkins & the barista said he’s been using his apron to wipe his hands all day. 3 people working on site the 2 guys are going nuts but the girl looks & acts like she’s had a hang over all day. Not proactive at all. When leaving, we asked for the green cup stopper & they were out of that too. There’s foam splatter between the machines & a pool of water & milk on the counter. No one bothered to wipe down. The barista had to tell the girl to give water to people waiting. She did but combining the whole time about something. The 2 guys were pulling their weight. Somebody give the girl an espresso. For the price I paid, I expect napkins & stoppers. Is that too much to ask? Don’t get me started on the counter mess… they need more people.

Slow, unfriendly staff, dirty location. This is what you can get if you visit this Starbucks location.

Long lines in a long, narrow store makes this a rather unpleasant experience. More staff on the registers consistently could help move this along. Outdoor seating helps in nice weather. If you’re in a hurry, this may not be the location for you. 3 stars for product, minus 1 star for consistent long lines.

They need to get more employees! Waited almost 10 minutes for a green tea lemonade. Finally got it and there is a super long line. The two guys trying to catch up with the orders have their heads down to avoid the upset customers waiting for a simple drink.

Slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. It’s amateur hour in this place.

I was in there around 445 pm today. The good: Person at the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. The extra foamy cappuccino was a bit watery and the foam not as dense compared to other Starbucks but was adequate. The bad: twice went through lines of more than 8 people. This store is across from my primary care physician’s office and the lines are routinely very long. Space is a bit tight but that is not unusual for a mall location. worst? Next to where I was sitting was a display with a sign. the sign said buy one gut one December 13 only. One line said Starbucks Via, one line below said Christmas blend. On the display, there were a bunch of the via(instant) [packages on one sheld and, below, a bunch of 8oz Christmas Blend bags of beans, I thought the bogo applied to the bags as well as the via. At best, it was not clear that the bogo applied only to the via. The manager said that the sign was clear that it didn’t apply to the beans that were on the display directly under the sign. Well ok. She’s entitles to her opinion. My opinion is that the dis[play was not clear. Seems to me that the management at both Dempster St. Skokie Starbucks stores is a lot more friendly, as is the Wilmette Store at Plaza Del Lago.

Typical Starbucks. There weren’t a lot of seats which was disappointing. They got my drink right, which is more important.

Christina always makes my Caramel Macchiato just right! She starts my day off on the right foot. Other starbucks locations mess up my macchiato and i’m not a happy morning person. Great friendly service!

Every time I go to the mall I get a drink here, the staff is friendly and they know how to make the drinks the right way. No complains here :)

Plenty of workers and plenty of baked goods at this location. Seems to get frequently busy because its in a mall, but they still seem to pull it together and make a mean latte =)

It’s always really crowded and the wait isn’t always worth it because it’s very rare that I see nice people working there and that’s a big deal for me as part of my experience. I also don’t like the area they have dedicated for outdoor seating, it feels like they just decided to stuff a whole bunch of people in a corner. I would go there if I want Starbucks but i wouldn’t go out of my way nor would I wait in line.

This Starbucks is pretty much always busy on the weekends during the peak shopping hours. But, I must say that they do a real good job of preparing people’s orders in a timely fashion. Rarely have I ever seen them mess up an order, however, when they have it’s been made top priority to correct their mistakes. They’re always friendly and polite, which is a major plus for me especially if you are a part of the food & beverage industry. Thank you Old Orchard Starbucks. Thank you.

This is a typical Starbucks, and is clean. The staff is friendly, and did not seem bothered by the customer’s presence, as in some other locations. Which is a plus for me when deciding where to go. There’s not much seating, but I usually just get my coffee and go anyway, so it doesn’t matter much to me.
