I went there with some friends after class. We sat in their tent outside and you couldn’t even tell that it was freezing outside. The room was plenty warm and felt like I was inside. Our server Linda was amazing. We had a big group with individual checks and she was happy to accommodate us. The entire time she was delightful and a pleasure. I hope when I return she is our server. The service awesome!!! Highly recommend

The service, food and atmosphere are phenomenal across the board. We come here at least once a week and never leave dissatisfied. The manager, Dia, is always making sure every patron is enjoying themselves and happy with the service. They recently changed their beer selection and it’s incredibly impressive now! Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Went there for lunch on Friday with a girlfriend and it was great! The bartender Linda was super friendly and was helpful making suggestions. I had the Rueben and my friend had the trinity chicken, we would definitely order them again! Can’t wait to go back!

I think this place is okay but the service wasn’t great! I arrived before my friend and waited quite a while to even be acknowledged. It was quite a while before the bartender/server even noticed that I may have wanted a drink while waiting. I didn’t even know they had ½ price appetizers except I heard her mention it to the table next to me. When she finally brought over my drink after 15 minutes, I asked about the ½ price appetizers and she said it wasn’t included if I had a Groupon… really? I didn’t have a groupon and why would she assume that I did? Anyway, I put in an order for an appetizer and after what seemed like 30 minutes it arrived. I can’t believe that I was there for 45 minutes before even getting an appetizer. Wow? Well things got even slower as she left and another person took over… she was actually nicer. My friend and I ended up just going somewhere else… because I mentioned that the service was pretty s… l…o…w! And here is the kicker — they weren’t even busy. Can you imagine what the service would’ve been like if they had actually had more customers… I’d still be there waiting for a drink or an appetizer? Yikes!!!

Great local place. I live very close and never paid attention to this place. What got me to go was a Groupon. We had burgers and the broccoli cream soup. The soup was definitely home made and I would go back just for it. We enjoyed our experience and we even bought another Groupon to go again. The service was pretty good except that they told us they ran out of hot chocolate :(

We went on a Wednesday night. We have been here several times before. We have tried the Fish and Chips which was wonderful. The Shepard’s pie was very well made and a large portion. Their hamburgers are also well made. The food is fine. I am giving it two stars because the drinks are just not good. My husband only drinks Coke and each time we have gone to dinner at the Curragh, the soda has been flat. We forget this until it happens again and again. I ordered a Gin and Tonic last night. Probably the worst I have ever had. The tonic must have been flat. I would say someone needs to pay attention to the dispensers. We had the corned beef Sandwich yesterday… wish I had skipped it and wish I had the Fish and chips. Don’t think I will return.

Ordered the House Salad, Salmon, and breaded Chicken. All were too expensive for what it was, basically all iceberg lettuce with some dressing and frozen vegetables and food that wasn’t that great. Luckily there is a groupon for this place or else it wouldn’t have been worth it at all. Even with the Groupon, I wasn’t happy. Service was good, but that was basically only because me and my boyfriend were the only people there that night.

Nice local place. Great hamburgers and fries. Love the sweet potato chips home made. Nice beer selection and daily specials. Two things. Last night the bartender was also our waiter. It was not that busy half full there were 3 waitresses chatting near us while he scrambled to take orders, deliver the food and tend bar. The three others never helped him but chatted on. Also my order of $ 7.00 onion rings had 5. Two burnt. That’s over a buck each. Not worthy? Nice patio closed in and heated.

Small Irish pub inside. Mediterranean suburban patio area outside. Reasonable prices. Unusual selections of beer. Love the Shepherds pie.

My husband and I have now been to The Curragh, Skokie location, twice and have had excellent service and food both times. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly(especially the bartender), and the prices were more than fair for what we received. Again, the food was delicious!!! The fish was cooked to perfection and the corn beef was to die for. Thanks for two great dates :))

My waitress Ashleigh was horrible. We had no silverware or napkins. We literally had 7 fries per plate with our burgers. I give it 1 star for the TV’s.

Stopped in to have a quick bite while running errands in Skokie. Maybe due to the rain not many patrons, just 2 tables in the open terrace. But there were a handful of people sat around the bar watching sports programs on TV inside. The young lady served us was very polite and pleasant. My Dublin burger was generous in portion and side salad was decent fresh. Nothing fancy nor out of ordinary but stomach warming and filling food-especially on a cool, rainy day.

Very good, good good. Indoors or outdoors on their mostly clear plastic covered and heated patio, this original location of the Curragh chain has been our preferred nearby Irish pub for a long time now, even though it is owned by a charming Greeks lass. Given that, one would expect proper lamb stew, but no. .. their Irish stew is made with beef. It’s still delicious. The always friendly bartenders know how to double pour a Guinness at the right temperature, through cleanish lines so it tastes just right. Wines selection is well, that of a typical Irish pub. Their burgers, Paddy’s Melt and Bangers and Mash are some of the best pub main courses around. Ask for medium rare and it’s medium rare. Thick steak fries and house made onion rings are top notch and their Celtic Spuds potato skins appetizer is pretty good, if ordinary. Ask for them crispy and they’re crispy. Cheers! kitchen staff. Malt vinegar is on the table. ~Peter O. and S.

I’m not going to lie I felt a tad weary when I stepped in but I decided to give it a shot. The food was pretty yummy, prices are moderate and the bartender was very friendly. He even made his own twist on a regular drink I ordered and it was delicious. Clean bathroom, can’t complain. Try their onion rings they’re super yummy and you can tell it was made fresh from scratch not store bought like other bars. Fish and chips are really good too. Will come back

This place has really good burgers. The atmosphere is fun and the drink list is great! I found a local beer which has now become my favorite! The style inside the establishment makes you feel like your on a movie set for an Irish themed movie. Lots of wood, unique chairs, and scarred up tables. Very fun environment. This is a great place to hang out in, eat in, or even order out from.

Good burgers! Nice ambiance! Sort of rustic look. Good for family during the days! Fish and chips are pretty good too. They always have the games on. Bartenders are cool and service is always good. If you’re looking for a place to relax and have a beer this is definitely the place. Located across the old Skokie police station.

Deal tip — $ 510 oz burger thurs with beverage purchase We stopped in for a one and done later on a saturday night, ghost town, super dead. Bad sign? The place is cute, small, cozy, has outside patio seating as well. We both had a bear and rolled. The bartender corrected me on how to properly pronounce Smithwick, that was a first. We think we will come back to try the burger special sometime.
