The taste is not the problem. This Wendy’s has employee and work ethics problem. Around 8:00 pm, I went to Wendy’s and there were almost 7 cars on line in the drive-thru. I thought 8:00 pm was early that their store should be open. ITWASCLOSED. ONLYDRIVE-THRU! Okay… So, I decided to wait in the freaking long line of Drive-Thru, and guess what I have found when I was ordering and getting my food. They were taking and completing one order at a time. They only took one order, and kept the customer waiting until they finished that order. It took me 40 minutes to get a Wendy’s food. At this pace, it should be called Slow Food. 40 minutes, I could’ve gone to some other fast food restaurant and probably had almost 3 meals.

There’s this horrible stench that hit me as soon as I walked in. The place is a complete mess– napkins, straws, and bits of food is all over their carpeted floor… walked right out. Horrible just horrible.

This is a rating purely on the service of these workers, because Wendy’s is Wendy’s. I’m not a very critical person when it comes to fast food, but one employee in particular was incredibly rude. I could barely understand her when I was placing my order, I paid a nice young gentleman, but then was served my food by the rude employee who I assume also took my order. I didn’t even make it all the way to the window when she shoved her hand out to give me my drink immediately followed by my bag of food. I wasn’t greeted; in fact, she didn’t say a single word to me in the few seconds I was at the window. She was too busy whining like a child to her coworker, I legitimately mean whining, like you would hear a spoiled child whine. Truly inappropriate. The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because the young gentleman that I paid seemed pleasant and he doesn’t deserve any negative comments. Maybe he should be working with people directly, put the girl in the back where she doesn’t need to talk to anyone.

Totally average experience, but the food did not seem to be as good as I remember from Wendy’s. I decided to get a burger since I was craving one. The cheese did not seem melted, for example. It was like someone just slapped the cheese on. The fries were good but nothing special. The drive thru was fast, and I got out in record time.

I like Wendy’s food. I enjoy stopping by for a burger after work. I do not like getting home to find that my order is wrong. Especially when it happens over and over again(5 times in a row now as of tonight). I went through the drive through and I ordered three sandwiches, two of which were combo meals. I specified one burger with ketchup only, the other two with everything. Two medium drinks. I asked them to repeat the order to make sure my request was understood. I get my meal, I check my bag, and of course they made a mistake. They gave me a completely wrong burger, and put only mayo on two of the three sandwiches. The inside sitting area was closed, so I can’t really do much right now. They didn’t even give me my receipt, so I can’t even go back tomorrow to complain to a manager. If it was only tonight, I might understand. But this isn’t the first time this has happened. Last time, they gave me the wrong toppings. The time before that, they gave me a wrong item(I wanted two spicy chickens, they gave me one spicy and one plain). The time before that, I was missing an item completely. I’ve sent feedback and complaints through the website, but I’ve never heard from anyone to rectify the mistake. I work in food industry, so I understand that mistakes can happen, but this is ridiculous.

Fast food is an understatement! Every time I come to this specific Wendy’s I don’t even have time to put away my credit card by the time my food is ready. The speed that they operate at is unbelievable! They have never disappointed me nor mess up my order like other fast food joints.

Two star review. The only redeeming qualities are the hardworking nature of the staff and the no-questions asked approach of the manager.(Kudos to the young guy working the register– you can definitely tell that he’s just trying to do his job– and working hard at it, too!) Negatives: LINE! The wait was horrible– 10 minutes just to order but that wasn’t the worst part. Asian Cashew Chicken Salad! I was excited because the pictures looked amazing– and incredibly deceptive. Upon receiving my salad I noticed that many of the leaves were yellowing or browning– which I’m normally a stickler about-so I started to remove pieces… then I noticed something pretty strange: THESOYBEANSWEREBLACK! At first i thought maybe this was just a burnt soybean– but who would burn their soybeans? Upon closer inspection I touched the soybean with my finger and black debris came off!(See picture!) Therefore that was the end of that salad. The Management cured my issue by immediately providing me with a substitute meal without question(I picked something safe and fried– yes the irony). Never returning.

Buy 1 Large Chili get 1 Free! I’ll take it! So many years ago, circa 1977, I was like 16 and I lived in the Avondale Neighborhood and there was a Wendy’s located at Belmont and Spaulding and yes, I applied for one of my very 1st jobs there and they hired me. Now, I can remember going into work and the humongous pots of Chili that would be cooking. and it was then made with quality ingredients and lots of meat, it truly was Rich and Meaty! So, yesterday, I was out and about in Skokie and I passed by this Wendy’s and, boy, I have’nt been in a Wendy’s for years but that darn sign that said buy 1 chili get one free just pulled me right in. So, I entered this place with high hopes of having some chili as good as I remembered it, and I had them pack it to go so I could take it home and enjoy it there, plop a few crackers in, yadda, yadda. However, I take my first bite of this chili, which is neither rich or meaty, it is watery like soup and I am looking for the meat and I found like 2 little pieces of meat in there, however, I did find lots of onions and peppers, and boy was that aggravating me cause I really wanted this chili! So, to Wendy’s I say this, your Chili is neither rich nor meaty as you describe it, but it was watery and full of peppers and onions. And, I so did’nt like your Chili Wendy’s. And, I also did’nt like it when I worked for you when I was 16 and you made me wash windows. Guess I should’nt have taken it after all!

This is the worst Wendy’s I have ever been to and I have been to many. The wait was insane(15 mins approx) and the idiot working the point of sale gave my potato to someone behind me in line. I was then told the restaurant had no more potatoes and I could wait 15 minutes for another potato. So I had to ask for a refund on the potato and leave with nothing for me to eat. So the manager gave back my money for the potato but didn’t give me even a half-hearted apology.

— Wendy’s has better burgers and chicken sandwiches and big, meaty, steakhouse-style skin-on fries that taste like potatoes. This location regularly changes their frying oil, which seldom makes its presence known. Interesting and delicious breakfast sandwiches like paninis, accompanied if you like by little, round potato discs. Coffee is better than fast food chain average. They serve good lemonade and iced tea year ’round. — Food arrives hot and freshly prepared as you requested. — Unique products and ever-changing special, limited time only foods and drinks. — This location boasts fast, friendly drive-through and counter service and servers who — Accurately give you what you ask for, and more. — Did I mention they do not screw up your order? They do not screw up your order. — Big plastic dipping containers of Heinz ketchup, not little generic brand foil squeeze packets. Ask for ketchup, they give you two of those tubs. — Clean eating area and washrooms. — In addition, Wendy’s as a company supports human child adoption and related services. — Oh, and by the way, they don’t screw up your order. Of the big three I like Wendy’s best in general. This one in particular is very good. Happy burgering! Peter O.

Terrible. Just terrible. I typically wait in excess of 10 minutes for my order while dining in. The drive through takes like 1 minute. This location has focused on speedy drive through service, at the expense of dining in customers.

This is definitely one of my favorite places for quality burgers. I’m particularly fond of the Doublestack, The Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and The Baconator. This was where I brought my gf to eat at the night we met face to face. it’s our favorite Wendy’s to eat at. like BK, it’s another burger joint that lets you have it your way.

Am I really leaving a review for Wendy’s? Well, I guess so. Why not, I’m not a food snob! Wendy’s opened back up with a new and improved building and the new soda fountain where you can choose on a computer screen from 100 different flavors. I appreciate it and like having a diet Dr. Pepper. The burgers are pretty good for a fast food joint — better than McDonald’s and BK. The only thing I really get now at Wendy’s is the spicy chicken sandwich and it’s pretty good. I tend not to eat much fast food but when I am in a pinch and I’m on Touhy it’s spicy chicken time. The fries are decent — I guess better than they were before being revamped but I still prefer McDonald’s fries. Anyway, 3 stars is appropriate for a combo of the quality of the food and service. The drive through window is all backwards now and looks weird. Whatever. Oh, and the frostees are always a good time.

worst drive thru set up EVER. no baked potatoes ready at the lunch rush? and didn’t put lettuce on my burger as i had requested. made me a new one after arguing with me, then asked for the other one back and THREWITAWAY. believe me, if i had known they were going to waste food like that, i would have just let it go.

For Everyone’s information. This new and improved Wendy’s is now reopened as of 11-15-2011. This Wendy’s is very convenient to my work, so if I jumped out of bed late and rushed off to work without time to eat or pack a lunch. This Wendy’s is it. 10 cars in the drive thru(yes, it does happen)? 10 cars in this drive thru is about the equivelent of 2 cars in your avarage BK or Taco Hell, but the 10 at Wendy’s will likely get out faster than the 2 at TB or BK. These people really know how to move you through quickly. Maybe they had to because of all the small to mid sized factories right there. I can suffer the ocassionial too cold fries once in a while(and we know that kind of stuff happens at all of them), knowing that theres 5 cars ahead of my when I pull in and I’m still going to get to work on time. Wendy’s will be re-opening their doors to a whole bunch of people who are thrilled to have her back !
