Nice sandwich restaurant. Great location in an old home. Excellent selection of sandwiches. I wish I could have tried more than one. The eggplant parm sandwich was delicious, but would have preferred foccacia bread or sub roll instead of just toasted Italian white bread. Sandwich had nice fried battered eggplant, fresh mozzarella cheese, red sauce and tomatoes. The fresh mozzarella was the best in the sandwich. My wife had the Ruben which was also very good with a lot of meat on marble rye roasted. The sandwiches did not come with any side other than a pickel, had to buy chips. It was also extremely warm inside the restaurant, warmer than outside. I don’t think they had any meaningful air conditioner. Also had a brownie for desert which was just average. You place your order and pay and they deliver your food which was nice. I would go back.

Hit the spot! On our way through Skowhegan, we were desperate for a decent cup of coffee and a sandwich. Kel-Mat really hit the spot! They are in a charming old house, with multiple small dining areas. The menu is ample, with a wide variety of choices. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the coffee good(K cup) (No lattes). Meanwhile, our sandwiches were made of fresh ingredients and bread. A nice meal for our car trip through beautiful, flower laden, green Maine!

Sandwiches were amazing(we tried the marinated chicken and the roast beef panini). Also, a really cute location in an old Victorian home, with a nicely decorated dining room, friendly staff and good background music. Way nicer than we expected to find, and much better food than we’ve had on our trek through Maine.
