*Shame on me for not riding this fun little train until now
*Really cool idea nd they have a great little gift shop with some great local flavor
*Make sure to leave a donation, it is all volunteer, if you are looking for a really cool KID AWESOME activity, stop in sky with the kiddos (they re-​open next spring I think, closed for the winter)

FREE Train Rides in Skykomish!
The Great Northern and Cascade Railway is a 1⁄8 model railroad that runs on 4800 ft of track that is 7 ¼″ wide. They have an electric engine, a diesel engine, and various guest steam engines that pull around five or six cars that visitors (of all ages) can sit on top of and ride.
The park is now in its third year (2015) and is completely run by volunteers and funded by donations.
It’s a lot of fun. And, you can’t beat FREE.
