Great gun shop, really nice staff with tons of knowledge. They also have prices that are really good. They have a nice hardware store too, they even have live bait! I will definitely be buying more from them.

I’m a big fan of this store. Old fashion hardware store, can find just about anything you need. Nice assortment of firearms, competitive prices.

I can’t comment much on the hardware aspect other than it is a charming store in a small town.
But I’ll comment on the «bustling gun business.» They have a ton of inventory, probably more than any of the other stores in the area. I was looking for a somewhat uncommon firearm and when I called to inquire about their inventory I was greeted by a very polite salesperson who clearly knew what he was talking about. A visit to the store confirmed that everyone was helpful.
The prices are very competitive compared to many other stores. I’m not sure how they manage to keep firearm prices so low. For example, the item I was looking for cost only $ 10 less on the Internet, not counting any transfer fees. This is potentially dangerous as you might «try and buy» (to your bank account) whereas there is uncertainty in Internet purchases.
Oh yeah they accept credit cards and the fees and such aren’t totally outrageous.
Important note: you park in the lot across the street from the store.

I’m amazed no one has reviewed Boyers. They have literally everything a person could need, and then some. Definitely a Slatington staple. They also do a very bustling gun business, if my understanding is correct. Very upstanding family, business has been family owned and operated for generations. They have a stuffed giraffe in the front of the store, and other animals also shot by the family. Definitely a place worth going for something you would need if you’re a DIY-​er.
