Absolutely amazing sandwich! If you want a massive, delicious, hot sandwich for a great price, this is the place. Their chicken cutlet(or «bird») wedges are amazing and only $ 5-$ 6. I can never finish one because of how big they are. Staff are friendly and quick. Great place!

Although this place has been here for years and I had walked in front of it several times and I’ve never noticed this place, this is a great deli spot with make the best sandwich that I have ate in town. There have a great selection of cold and hot sandwich, wrap or salad. There also make any sandwich, wrap or salad on your on request(you can build you on one). The staffs are very friendly and helpful, and they make sure that you have a good experience here. Ps. They have all day breakfast sandwich with any choice of bacon, sausage ham or turkey, which is wonderful.

When I was a kid Greene County was one of the best italian deli’s in town. Unfortunately living on the other side of town as an adult I hadn’t been there in years. Recently my son who’s a student at Sleepy Hollow HS brought me home a sandwich from Greene County, it was amazing. And even though its been many years, I’m happy to know Greene County still puts out great sandwiches!

One star because the sandwich was good, the second star because the counter-person was very nice. Aside from that, I cannot think of anything else I liked about the place. I think other people’s high praise and reviews were based on nostalgia and not recent experiences. The place is a deli, but the deli counter only has individually portioned side salads in the case, no deli meats or other sort of items you typically see when standing in front one. With the empty display case coupled with about six or seven different signs, each offering a different type of wedge, you have no real indication as to what your options are. Upon selecting a wedge from among the signs, I was told they didn’t have wedges, only rolls, even though the sign specifically mentioned a «wedge». While waiting for my sandwich on a roll, I got to gaze around the place. It’s a large space for a deli, but its just barren. A soda cooler poorly divides the front from the back, and all that’s there is dead space. There are some wooden folding chairs and table set up if you wanted to eat there, but I couldn’t image why you’d want to. Taking the sandwich to go, I later found it to be tasty, but aside from there not being a whole lot of options on that street open in the early afternoon on a Saturday, ther’s no reason to return.

Pastrami had slime on it clearly from being outdated. Won’t be back.

Been back numerous times since my first review. Sandwiches are made to order with the exception of Italian Combos which are pre made and on the counter just like back in the day. Reasonably priced and very good tasting hot wedges. My only beef(pun intended) is that they tend to put too much of whatever condiment the sandwich requires. On my last visit I told the guy in English & Spanish«just a little mayo & mustard»(Cuban Sandwich). Guess he either forgot or ignored my request because it was dripping down my wrists as I ate it. I will return because I have been going there since I was a kid, but I will speak to the owner so he can school his employees on the finer aspects of deli sandwiches.

I grew up in the area. They used to have the best Italian sandwiches. I don’t know if it’s the same. Sure hope it is the same. The sandwiches were out of this world!
