The sushi here is good but the service is SLOW. They only have one waitress for the whole restaurant and one sushi chef who does take out and in house orders. I would go back bc the sushi was good but def keep in mind you will be waiting. The twin tuna roll is awesome try it out!

So its not the best sushi ever by any means, but it is thus far the best sushi delivery place in the river town area. Their americanized specialty rolls are delicious.

The description of 2 stars sums up my exact feelings about this place«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» It is your average sushi place, has all the standard/special rolls that you would expect. They were fine, but I’ve definitely had better sushi. There is a large variety to choose from, but all in all this is really just your standard sushi place. Aside from sushi we had miso soup and gyoza. The miso soup was good(but really how do you mess up miso soup?) and the gyoze was good, not amazing. The service was good, but I would likely try a different place for sushi before going back.

Excellent Sushi, very reasonable prices and the nicest people. This is my Go To Sushi bar: and I’ve been coming here once or twice a week for as long as I can remember: about 10 – 15 years?(ok my memory is getting pretty bad.) Everything here is good and everything is fresh. Rice has a nice subtle flavor. If you like Gyoza(pot stickers) they make their own fresh and believe me you can tell the difference. The Yummy Roll is pretty amazing. And if you like that, try the Whitefish Appetizer: enough for two. Some other reviews have taken exception to the use of imitation crab in some rolls. I admit, it’s not quite as tasty, but its pretty much accepted wherever you go: in fact, google Kani and some definitions actually show the imitation. If you want real crab, or a better selection of premium Sake you can always go to an authentic Japanese restaurant in NYC and pay the premium. There are bigger louder places that may have a slightly better selection or a fancier presentation, but who needs blue lights and dry ice fog. For just plain good local sushi, decent prices and friendly service you can’t beat it.

Sushi here is amazing. It’s not a big and fancy restaurant but their food is great and that’s all that matters to me. Their staff is always so nice and friendly. It’s always a warm welcome and smile when we go to eat!

I love the this place so much! By far the best place around to get sushi. The prices are great they have lunch specials. I’ve also tried some of their bento boxes and other non sushi items on the menu and I loved everything. My co workers introduced me to this place and I am so glad they did!

The food was OK, not great but OK. However, the service was awful. We have passed Wasabi many times and, when we received a coupon in the mail decided to order to pick up, with the idea that we would become regulars if we liked the food. My husband told the cashier we were tying Wasabi because of the mailing we received that very day, but he just realized he left the coupon home. The cashier said no coupon, pay full price. She said she had to staple the coupon to the receipt. My husband then paid the full price for the order. The cashier then proceeded to staple the exact menu – with the exact coupon – to the receipt. IMHO a good restaurant is one with good food and friendly service. Our experience last night was so-so food and service with an attitude. Both coupons are in the trash. Given the good restaurant choices we have in and around Tarrytown, we will not return to this one.

A good menu selection for lunch. Combinations on lunch boxes are a good value. Service is good. The food is still authentic Japanese with good quality real sushi. I recently went to Wasabi Sushi for their good deal on lunch box that for 9 dollars you can get a Chicken Teriyaki, that is server with a salad, a soup, 4 peace of delicious sushi California roll, shumai and some rice. But don’t worry, if you not into the Chicken Teriyaki, you have other selection; Salmon Teriyaki, beek teriyaki, tofu teriyaki, shrimp teriyaki, pork katsu, chicken tempura, shrimp tempura, chicken maki, beek negimaki, chicken katsu, chicken yakitori All that is include in the lunch box are very delicious, I really recommend it.

The roll with shrimp tempura and eel was good. The crab salad was good. The playboy roll was not good. It had a lot of sauce and of 3 kinds. It was too much sauce. Both rolls were relatively small.

Went here atleast twice a week, every week this summer. Best sushi I’ve ever had. The golden roll and the yummy roll are amazing. The tempera and gyoza are also amazing.

The quality of their sushi is surprisingly fabulous for a local and small location. So many«sushi» restaurants fail to actually offer higher end fish such as yellowtail belly and toro. But at Wasabi, you can be sure that they have stocked the best daily. The food is consistent and the service is fast and easy to work with whether you’re in restaurant or via delivery. This small location is exceptionally clean including the restrooms and while simple in décor, the flavors are not! Try the tuna carpaccio for a twist on the regular tuna appetizer. Two thumbs up for the Gyoza — a coffee-type hazelnut flavored dipping sauce makes this normal appetizer, a hidden gem.

I love sushi, so when I saw such great reviews and there was delivery available, I jumped on the chance to order! We got: salmon don, golden roll, wasabi naruto roll, million dollar roll, Florida roll, winter roll, maki combo, and another I don’t remember. Here’s what I have to say: 1) delivery took forever. We very clearly told them our address. They called four times to confirm it while the driver still went to the wrong address. When he called again to get directions, we told him how to get up us and he was really rude and hung up on us. It was really frustrating. We called about ten minutes before 7, and didn’t get our delivery till almost twenty after 8. This place is right down the road, and we were really clear with our address, so this was really awful. 2) the sushi rolls were sub-par at best. They were mushy and bland. I love sushi and this was really sad, especially for their price! The rolls were falling apart, and fairly bland. We ate them because we were hungry, but we’ve had better sushi at a buffet. We spent $ 95 to be hung up on and wait almost an hour and a half to eat mushy sushi. The ONLY reason they have two stars is because the salmon don I got was pretty good. But with all the other problems we had– and with not even an apology– we won’t be ordering again, nor recommending Wasabi to anyone else.

Fast service, fresh, and reasonable prices. They dont have that many interesting rolls to choose from but deff have a good selection of appetizers and other pieces of sashimi. Their kani salad is the best ive ever had, perfect amount of kani to cucumber to roe and crunch.

Very good quality — our family knows freshness when we taste it — good job! Plus everyday is Christmas there, the directions are awesome…

We had only one experience with Wasabi Sushi and it was take out and superb. the food arrived in the time we were told(about 45 mins) and we ordered way too much, it all looked so good in the pictures. Everything was fresh(2 days after the snow storm that closed NY — when it really didn’t snow that much) which says a lot since they were closed 2 days before. we had, among others, the crazy salmon roll(crazy good!) the twins tuna roll(2 types of tuna together was really yummy) and the dragon roll(so tasty). we also had a plate of sashimi for 2 and everything was really fresh, still cold and there was a whitish fish that I think was flounder that was really different and delicious. i don’t know why this place hasn’t appeared in our Unilocal searches before(we are from Tarrytown), but I am really thrilled it did. We will see how it rates next time…

Quite small and intimate but not too small, and nice interior but not so nice that you feel like you need to dress up. Great sushi and sashimi, and really good soft shell crab tempura as well.

Me and my fiancé were recently in tarrytown for a medical conference and passed by this place during our travels. We decided to stop in and give it a try. The food was phenomenal. The edamame was salty, hot and buttery. The kani salad was delicious and our sushi roll(twin tuna) was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable as well.

Pleasantly surprised. I was visiting my family in up state NY and they decided that for dinner we would get sushi take out. I’m pretty particular about my sushi so I had my concerns. It being NY and beyond that upstate. But we ordered anyways and went to pick it up. When we pulled up I still had my doubts. Not the most impressive looking restaurant. We got our food and went back to hi house to meet everyone else. 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back. I was really thinking that it was far from worth the drive but what the hell, why not. We sat down and dished out what everyone was having. Looked pretty decent. Tried my first bite and it was good. Moved in to the next roll and the same. Everything fresh. Everything tasted really good. I’ve got to say, I was wrong to doubt my cousin. Clearly he knows where to go. I recommend going and it’s totally worth the drive. Do it.
