Closed! It’s now Super Asian Buffet which is the worst Asian buffet I’ve ever been to. Rice is rock hard, everything is old, and not even warm. Absolutely disgusting!

Came here for the hibachi grill since golden didn’t have it. Highly disappointed. I saw fruitflies or gnats flying on or near the items at the grill and at the other tables as well. We did make a plate though with noodles, beef, peppers, mushrooms, and garlic because we didn’t see anything around them. When it was done, we tried it. Was disappointed. The noodles were overcooked, the beef was tough to eat, the mushrooms shrank down to nothing, only the peppers came out good. Then tried the sushi. The pieces with raw fish on top didn’t taste fresh at all. The only good one was the one with salmon. The rest tasted nasty. The rice was too cold. The only item I liked from the sushi table was the seaweed salad, meaning none of the sushi was good. Oh wait, they came out with a fried one afterwards that was really good. Guess you can’t mess that up. The Chinese food dishes were alright. I’ve had better elsewhere. The coconut sauce for the shrimp was so thick, it couldn’t be used! The lo mein, mei fun, and fried rice were all not good. Had no taste to them. The fried food table was ok. Only things we liked from there were fried chicken, egg custard, roasted chicken, and couple soups. The dessert table was not good because they had fruitflies on half the items. Just plain nasty! And they didn’t offer salad. So we stuck with ice cream. They offered Hershey branded items, which were pretty good. Almost forgot about the service, it was horrible. First of all, we ordered 2 warm waters and 1 cold one. He brought out 2 cold waters and a coke. How is that the same? But whatever, we didn’t mind it cuz my bf was ok with the coke and I was ok with cold water. Then our plates kept on stacking up because our waiter didn’t come collect them until they were like 5 plates high. And while we were still eating, he came and gave us our check. We didn’t even to h the dessert yet! Found that rude. Wouldn’t come back here again. Review would have been 1 star but I gave 1 more cuz the ice cream.

The hibatchi is probably the only thing worth eating. The sushi selection is pretty decent, when they actually have some on the bar. Nice staff. Decent price. And water is free. Out of the whole place, the claw machine was the best part of my dining experience.

Just stopped in on the way to New Orleans. It’s as good as all the reviews say. Hibachi grill is amazing. Lots of nice sushi options. Great atmosphere. Other warm plate options like ribs, crab legs, frog legs, etc. bonus: warm towels with the check !

This is the best place for a Asian food. The sushi bar is the best. a super wide selection of sushi and sashimi. Miyagi also has a small hibatchi bar as well. Good selection of boiled seafood as well. A great cold buffet bar with salads and desserts on there as well. the staff is very friendly and keep your glass filled all the time. After lunch of supper they give you a nice warm towel to clean up with. The price is well worth it.

Great place, no complaints! Great staff an 13.50 for the buffet. Could have more selection, but it’s not shabby! They give you hot towels to wipe your hands after you’re done! Great for cleaning up the kiddos!

One of the best Asian buffets I’ve ever been to. For $ 8.99(lunch price), the amount of selection you get is astonishing. The sushi certainly isn’t top quality, but because of the variety, I would still prefer to eat her over other sushi restaurants. And it’s not just the sushi that’s great, but the other Asian food is really good(better than your standard Chinese buffet). The Hibatchi grill is pretty standard, but I liked how you had the option of making it spicy(not all hibatchi bars give you that option). I have been to other sushi/Asian buffets and Miyagi is by far the best bang for your buck, at least for lunch. Very pleasant experience and will definitely eat here again when I am in the Slidell area.

Wonderful selection of fresh sushi! Awesome service, management and atmosphere. This is the only place I go to for the sush while visiting my mom in Slidell. It has always been fresh, well prepared and delicious. 5 stars for shore.

This is a very good Asian buffet. Large fresh sushi bar, hibachi, a few dim sum, 4 soups, some Chinese dishes, fish, fruits. For the money, it is worth it. The sushi is better buffet grade, the assortment of fish dishes are excellent from fried to sauté to grilled. Good marinated Japanese meat kabobs, orange chicken and nice cold salads & edamame. At night, the seafood is fresh & very good including blue crab & snow crab. Shrimp too. Worth the money for a night buffet. Good hot green tea – not bagged, but Japanese style. I’ve had much better Asian food in more Metro areas of the country, but for this area, it is the better of those offered here. The higher ranking is for the freshness and quality. When you walk into an Asian restaurant and the first thing you smell is fresh vegetable stock, you know you are in the right place. Give it a shot.

Buffet Japanese at its best. Although I miss the Pancho’s that was here previously, this is FARBETTER. The wait staff is always on the ball, the sushi is freshly prepared, and there is a wide selection of sushi and other food to choose from.

It’s good for a sushi buffet. We went here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. The manager on duty was nice and chatted up with us. It was our first time coming and we liked that the food was fresh, a great variety of rolls for lunch, more so than at normal buffets. It was 8.99 for lunch which is not bad if you go to fill up on everything. The dessert alone was worth it. They have these cute little cupcakes and these mint whipped cream cups, yums. I love that they have strawberries. Yums! One of the soups that really stood out was a soup with clams in it. So good, seasoned just like the kind we eat at home, broth super clear which is great — they skimmed all the fat off. There’s also a hibachi grill so just fill up your plate and let the chef behind the bar cook away for you – make sure to tip your chefs! Cant wait to go check it out at night because the manager says they have sashimi and more seafood. Overall, the food was good for a buffet, fresh, seems like they have regular customers there already. If you are on the North shore this is probably a good place to go if you like sushi rolls and nigori for lunch, for dinner im going to assume sashimi makes an appearance. Servers was nice and the manager was great. Id definitely go again if I was in the area or craving for sushi and dining on a budget. Great for families or large groups. Accepts cash and credit, shares space with strip mall occupants: Anna Linens, Sav-A-Lot, Hancock Fabrics. EDIT: Do not bother coming for dinner unless you are desperate and need a place to eat for dinner.
