Every time I come here there is always something wrong. Their drink machine is messed up or no ice, they don’t have something on the menu, I say no of something and it’s on my food, their pizza or pasta is cold in the center, or the employees aren’t all that friendly, also in the women’s bathroom one of their stall locks is broken and in order to «lock» it there’s a straw there. But as much negativity as this place has their food is really good which is why I keep coming back.

I WILLNOTBEGOINGBACK. I loved the old Schlotzsky’s that was in town years ago. I was sorry to see it go.(Bad Location). 1. Then I thought great they are coming back with an all new location in the middle of town. The first time I tried it, they were out of Tomato Basil(On Grand Opening, a signature item. not cool!!!) Kanye told me they would not have it until they ran out of Gumbo. They had plenty of help including what was clearly management from HQ, still things were dirty. 2. Went one morning for breakfast in the drive thru, took forever to get the sandwich because they were waiting on eggs. Sandwich was pretty good after I got it. Coffee was nasty though. 3. and last. Went inside at 10am and ask if they were serving breakfast, I was told very loudly«WEDONOTSERVEBREAKFASTJUSTLUNCH.» I picked up a menu from the counter with breakfast clearly shown on the color menu. Once again I was told«WEDONOTSERVEBREAKFASTJUSTLUNCH.» I asked stupidly if they had stopped serving breakfast. Once again I was told loudly(as though i was deaf) «SIRWEDONOTSERVEBREAKFASTJUSTLUNCH.» I asked if they were serving lunch right now and again was told«SIRWEDONOTSERVEBREAKFASTJUSTLUNCH. At this point I decided to leave and never go back again. Noticed the breakfast menu still posted on the drive thru. Huh. I’m a big guy, I eat out every single day. Schlotzsky’s in Slidell will never see another dime of my money. If they had last Cinn A Bön on earth I wouldn’t stop there. Don’t worry though you will be out of business soon. A lot of wasted money on a very beautiful rehab of an old Arby’s location. PLEASEDONOTGOTOTHISRESTAURANTTHEYDONOTDESERVEYOURMONEY. I have a great suggestion for the location: A brand new Rally’s Drive Thru. Better food and quicker service. We miss you Rally’s. Update:Tried to remove the 1 star rating but Unilocal doesn’t let you dothat. Took picture at lunch time of the nearly empty parking lot. I was across the street at Firehouse subs. I don’t eat bad food and I don’t put up with rude service.

Yummy! We dont have one on the coast anymore, so Mandy and I were excited to see one! Gave them 3 stars because the flat bread had chipotle sauce on it and they drizzle too much on it.

HORRRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. My first time eating at this location and although the food was good the customer«service» was quite lacking. The employee who helped me, Elissa, at the drive thru was rude, messed up my orders, and held an attitude the entire time. When I pulled up to the window to pay and receive my food she wouldn’t speak a word to us. NO hello, NO total for my food, NO thank you, didn’t ask if we needed anything else, NOT A WORD. If I could put 0 stars for a rating I would in a heartbeat. When I got home to eat I was disappointed upon opening my sandwich, it was small in size, had hardly any meat and was poorly and sloppily put together. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a good meal and good service. LOOKELSEWHERE. Wish I could get a refund for this«meal»

I have been coming to this Schlotski’s once a week since they’ve been open(in March of 2015) Every time I experience the same thing… Long waits for food, not enough employees, and dirty tables… at first I was hopeful that it was just opening bugs that would be worked out over time… but I’ve pretty much given up on improvement in any of these categories. Let me begin by saying NOONE was happier that Slidell was getting a Schlotski’s than me. We had one years ago on the other side of town, and I was a frequent customer of that one until it closed down. I’ve mourned their veggie pizza, and couldn’t wait to taste one again(and yes, all my dreams came true in that first bite, the veggie pizza is JUST as I remember-heavenly!) After many visits, and much deliberation, I think the main problem with this store is the manager. He is a Kanye West looking fellow with(coincidence?) a «Don’t-want-to-be-here» attitude. I have yet to see him smile or say something nice to any of the employees. As a matter of fact, I’ve witnessed him berate the employees in front of customers. The girl who’s usually at the front cash register is often running the drive-thru register too(that’s got to be overwhelming!!) I think her name is Denae and she’s got a great smile and is always happy to see me. Nothing but kind words to say about her. wish she had help! There’s usually a few employees milling about(not sure if they’re on break or just hate being there too), and no one seems to be in a rush to wait on customers or tidy up. On a good note… I’ve always enjoyed my food, even if it took a while to get!

Came to get Bayou Chicken the previous weekend. The staff told us they didn’t have any made, although it is on the menu. Next weekend called ahead to ask if they have Bayou Chicken. The manager told us yes. So, we drive in, from New Orleans to Slidell(40 miles?). When we get there, we place the order for Bayou Chicken and pay for it. The manager takes the order and our payment. In about 5 min, an employee tells us that there is no Bayou Chicken today, they didn’t make it. So, we got our money back and left. This store has a really poor customer service and looks like we are not the only ones who gave it one star rating. What a shame!

Will not be going back. First time visiting the Gause location, the gentleman behind the counter was friendly when taking our order. But when we sat down to wait for our food, we noticed all the tables were dirty, i had to wipe down our booth before sitting down. The floor was covered with food, and 4 out of 6 empty tables had trash or food on them. There were about 4 – 5 other guests eating lunch there at the time, the sound system was either broken or non existent, so it was very awkwardly silent. At least 2 other people were running the food out to the tables, and non did anything to wipe down the dirty tables. The soup and pizza i ordered were not bad at all, but seeing how filthy the place was turned me off from ever coming back again. I doubt they’ll be in business much longer.

This place is REALLY bad! It was FILTHY and they were not even busy. Every single table was filthy. We had to sit at a dirty one. The floor was filthy. If we had not already ordered I would have walked out. My sister gets her food. 10 minutes later I still don’t have mine. We ordered the same thing at the same time. Come to find out my sister had received the sandwich somebody else ordered. I went up to the register to find out where my food was. The lady who’s sandwich my sister got was up there trying to get somebody to talk to her. Nobody would. They just kept walking by ignoring her while she was asking if she could speak to somebody. She had been waiting 30 minutes for her food, she said. I finally get mine. Then the guy sitting one table over from me gets the wrong sandwich. The place is filthy and nobody knows what is going on. The sandwich was just ok. I really didn’t know what I was ordering since the menu doesn’t tell you what is on the sandwich unless you get like a turkey sandwich. Then it’s obvious that turkey is on it and you can see the lettuce and tomato but you don’t know what else comes on it. I assumed my sandwich would come with mayo. It came with mustard and tons of black olives, which did not appear on the menu picture. I hate black olives. The pickle tasted odd as well. I took one bite and couldn’t eat the rest and I love pickles. What a joke. I won’t be back.

Once again I’m disappointed by the lack of product availability. Last time I visited they were out of bacon. This visit they were out of the Chicken and Wild Rice soup, in which they told me after the fact I paid for my order. I said, either give me a refund or give me something similar in price. They offered any of the Cinnibons in the case. So I picked one, didn’t eat it yet. The person that orders supplies for this restaurant needs to be fired. This place is not even been open more than 3 months. my initial review want as harsh. I figured they get some slack for poor service being newly opened and getting the large flux of customers. well that crowd has died down and this place want busy at all. yet they still performed poorly. the register was a mess, littered with receipts. the ice machine was still broken and they still put out a bucket of ice with a scoop that sat in the ice. very dangerous, customers who do practice good hygiene can taint the ice and cause sickness for other customers, that’s why proper ice handling will tell you not to let the scoop handle touch the ice. this scoop was floating in the melted ice, unsat. we ordered the pizza and it was not hot, the cheese in the center of the pizza was not melted, there was about a 3″ diameter of unrelated cheese. you can make out what the cheese looks like before it melt. I will not be returning to this restaurant, they’ve already got a free pass my first visit and didn’t redeem themselves on this visit. I’m not one to point out deficiency to the staff unless it is egregious or if the staff made an effort to see if my experience is going well. the first visit someone came out and asked this visit, no one was working the floor except for the one staff member scraping food into the trash in which I made an attempt to concentrate by giving her the appropriate greeting of the day. she gave me the repeated response, but that’s it. didn’t ask how was my meal. they need better supervisors.

New Schlotzsky’s in Slidell. I was impressed with how friendly, knowledgeable and customer service oriented the counter staff were. My server«Elisabeth» was very nice and personable. I came in during what seemed like a shift change, several employees coming in and out the front door. Had the tomato basil soup which was delicious. Unfortunately it took about 20 minutes to get my sandwich. And I overheard other customers complaining about the wait time. One other customer requested a refund due to she hasn’t received her food in 30 minutes. The place wasn’t swamped only saw 6 other tables full. Seems like the kitchen was disorganized, maybe unmanaged. They were also out of tea and the ice was served from a bin next to the soda machine. I would usually give a lower star rating for the wait and obvious issue but the very nice front counter staff made up for the inconvenience. I’ll mark that issue off to being a bee restaurant, they are probably still finding their groove. There are USB charging ports wear you can dine and charge at the high top bar up front, cool. Haven’t seen that at a restaurant before. The restaurant seemed clean to me. I also had the Schlotzsky’s brownie which was also delicious. The roast beef sandwich was ok. I’ll try it again in the future.

This place sure is dirty to be a new restaurant. Just saw a customer wait 20minutes to get the manager give him his money back. People not too happy in here. Hope my experience here improves.
