This place is super cute, super talented people are involved in everything this theater produces. Great to see young talent exhibited. They always have a Christmas program for kids to see with Santa and its very interactive! The place is small, locally owned, and involves a lot of good teachers and staff. They have fund raisers to help with the expansion of the building and classes they teach. All in all, it’s a great local business that gives back to the community to check out. You can’t beat a local theatre and you never know who you might see on the silver screen years from now!

I have a great admiration for people who are naturally talented actors. Mostly because I can’t act worth a crap myself. Whether I’m elated, sad, disgusted or annoyed… you’re going to see it on my face. I find it extremely hard to pretend to be feeling something I’m not. I’m highly impressed with all of the local talented actors that I have had the pleasure to watch on the stage at Slidell Little Theater. Slidell Little Theater is fantastic! Not only are there some great actors here, the sets and costumes are beautiful. I saw a production of Beauty and the Beast here and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had. I laughed and cried and got goosebumps all during the play. It was just awesome. They put on 6 – 8 productions a year and if you become a member you’ll get tickets to each play and can purchase additional tickets for a discounted price. Another great thing that SLT does is a summer program for children called the Little Actors Theater. It’s a summer long camp for children interested in drama. At that end of the summer they put on a play featuring the child actors and they’re always just as spectacular as the regular plays. My daughter did it several years in a row and absolutely loved it. I think a play at SLT would make a great date night instead of the movies. It’s also cheaper!

I was so pleasantly surprised by how nice this theatre was! Look, lets be real. When I think of Slidell, a night out at the theatre and all of the classiness that accompanies it isn’t what immediately jumps to mind. I only made the trek across the twin span to watch a dear friend perform in one of their shows. Walking into the theatre made me kick myself for judging too quickly! The space feels nice and modern and it seems like you have an excellent view of the stage from every seat in the house. The talent in the production I saw was truly fantastic. Everyone had a wonderful voice and they all seemed to have impressive resumes. It is great that a self-proclaimed«little theatre» can attract a solid and talented cast that has worked big-name venues. The venue was staffed by mostly older(and downright elderly) folks who seem like they’ve been involved with the theatre forever. I think a lot of them are members of various boards and volunteer their time there. A little old lady grabbed my arm and jerked me back in line to let someone with a membership pass go first which I found a little disconcerting but… whatever. Overall I had a really nice evening here and would definitely see a show here again.
