Our youth group stayed here on the way to Panama City Beach. As someone who has been involved in youth ministry for over 25 years, I have stayed in some legendary dumps… this one make that list! It was cheap, and yet, I still think it was overpriced.

Well, you get what you pay for. A stinky room with paper thin walls, ignorant foul-mouth couples arguing and cursing ALLNIGHT in adjoining rooms, a bed that smells like mold & feels like a brick, and a nasty bathroom. I should have just slept in my car.

Okay 2-stars may be a little harsh for this place, but it accurately reflects my ‘Meh, I’ve experienced better’ feeling about my stay. I found this place on one of the Louisiana travel guides and they were listed as the cheapest room en-route to New Orleans. The room was clean, though there was a humid-moldy odor, but it wasn’t too overwhelming and I attribute it to the humidity of the region. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the tv didn’t work very well. This is a bare bones operation, if money is an issue, this is the place to stay. If you can spring the extra $ 15 – 20 for a Motel 6, I recommend you go that route.
