We were seated and waited on very quickly. Our food was delicious and made perfectly and came out fast. Our waitress seemed new so she struggled a little bit but other than that we had a great meal. Will come back soon.

I went about a month ago and I was very unimpressed. I waited at the host stand for 5 minutes before I decided to seat myself. We sat at the bar, it took the bartender quite some time to greet us. after he finally brought our waters after we waited forever for them I noticed he touched the tip of all of the straws in the drinks he made and I found that disgusting. I ordered the chicken tacos with no Cole slaw and when they came out it was 3 small pieces of chicken with a tiny scoop of pico de gallo I was very disappointed. The manager offered to get me something else but i was tired of waiting we had already been there over an hour. My friend ordered a ribeye sandwich which she requested to be medium rare and it came out well done. I wouldn’t recommend going to this location unless you want horrible food and service.

About what you’d expect for an Outback chain quality-wise. Our server was eager to get our table turned on a busy Friday night, so getting dessert and additional beverage felt like a hassle. The salads we ordered tasted like the lettuce had been hanging out for quite a while, but the steaks were cooked perfectly and the other sides were great as usual. If you’re in the area and feeling like a steakhouse, don’t hesitate to stop by. Great location as well!

Just ok, I never expect GREAT going into an Outback. Got there on a semi busy night, we didn’t have to wait. Even though I had a stroller they seated us almost all the way in the back, in a pretty thin alley way where I had to set up the sling right around a corner where the waitresses and waiters come flying around. Bad common sense on their part but I would assume the hostesses don’t have kids and they don’t think about things like that. Waitress was very sweet, we did have some dinner issues. I think the blooming onion tastes like garbage. But I eat healthy so I didn’t expect to like a fried onion.(We got one for our table of 6) Salads were great, I got a 6oz sirloin which was delicious, broccoli which was delicious also, and a sweet potato with cinnamon… It came with butter, sugar and cinnamon on it. I am meticulous with my eating and I have a plan to stay on with a coach so the butter being semi melted into my sweet Potato was a little upsetting, but, can’t change that so I went with it. Others at my table were missing a few sauces but otherwise it was completely fine.

After shopping at the Outlet Aug 1, 2015, my friend and I stopped at Outback Steakhouse on Industrial Dr in Smithfield, NC. We both ordered Salad but not the same protein. She ordered chicken and I ordered Ahi Tuna. Her salad had so much chicken that she could not eat it all. On the otherhand, I didn’t have enough Ahi Tuna on my salad, which was a problem. I let that go and was brought the ticket. My friend paid cash for her meal and I used my debit card. The bill came to $ 13.87 and I left a tip of $ 2.13 on my debit card. Well, when I checked by bank statement on 8÷6÷15 instead of $ 16.00 charge, I had a charge of $ 20.00, which meant that my tip was changed to $ 6.13. Now, I know I did not leave that amount for a tip. I contacted Outback and spoke with John on 8÷6÷15. He looked up the ticket and stated he did not know why the waitress enter $ 20.00. He assured me that he would contact Corporate office and request a check sent out to me immediately. Well, I know it can take 2 weeks to process a refund but since I had not received my refund by 8÷20÷15 I called back and spoke with Dave(another manager). He also assured me that he would contact Corporate and have John call me back last Friday. Guess what, I never received a callback. I called again on 8÷22÷15 and spoke with Leslie(another manager). She said she would call me back, which she did and informed me that the corporate office was closed on weekends and would follow up with me. Well, I didn’t hear anything else from her and called back 8÷25÷15 and spoke with Dave again. Well, he said he had an email from the accountant that they are processing my refund. I asked Dave to send me the email. I gave him my email address but guess what, he never sent the email. All the managers I spoke with said since this happen they would send a Outback giftcard. Again, never received the giftcard. Dave said he personnally put the giftcard in the mail last Friday, 8÷21÷15. I told him that it should not take 5 days to receive mail from Smithfield, NC which is less than 45 minutes from my home. I am so disappointed in how this is being handled. I called the corporate office on 8/21/15 and left my name and phone number but as of today, I have not received a callback. How hard is it to get your money back when you have obviously been overcharged!!! Update, I called back today, 826⁄15 and spoke with John(the original manager I spoke with). He ask me if I had the debit card that was used and I said yes… He said he could put the money back on that card… Well, so I ask why didn’t he say that when I first called… he tried to give me an lame excuse… he said the money should be back on my card within 4 days… so I will have to wait and see. Today, I did receive the gift cards and a letter from Leslie apologizing for how this was handled but I will never eat at this restaurant again…

Stopped here on my way back from a shopping spree at the outlets. I sat at the bar since it was just me. Good food and good service. Everything was cooked to perfection and fast. The bar was a little dirty, needed to be wiped down a little bit more. Major construction going on for their patio, can’t wait for it to be open.

What can I say. I am a business traveler and rely on the fact all chains are the same. This is not your average Outback, if it was they would be out of business. I ordered the steak and lobster, both were very salty and unbeatable. I wasn’t offered bread or salad like at many others I have visited. The bathroom was worse than most gas stations. I held you breath. The staff were are friendly and apologetic. Never again to this location

I’ve eaten here twice and it is the worst Outback I’ve ever been to. I ordered my steak pittsburg-style rare steak but it was not blackened plus was medium-well. The steamed broccoli wasn’t even steamed. The bread was cold. The salad wasn’t green and seemed past it’s use date. The service was HORRIBLE. We waited 10 minutes just for someone to come and take our drink order and then was another 5 minutes to get water despite the place being empty. The wait staff was talking and joking with eachother(or outside smoking) instead of waiting on the tables. The manager saw all this and clearly didn’t care. The worst run Outback I’ve come across and I travel a lot. Don’t be fooled by the fake 5-star reviews. This place sucks! Avoid at all cost. Btw, I tried the place a couple times because was stuck in Selma/Smithfield for several weeks on business and was right by my hotel. Will never go back!

Ridiculous wait time for our dinner and after inquiry, server brings overcooked steaks because she was waiting on one of the sweet potatoes. Ordered 2 filets(9 oz and 6 oz), salmon and a 9 oz sirloin. Taste was good(thus the 2 stars), but not worth the price for overcooked steaks. Portion of salmon was pitiful(7oz supposedly and there is NO way that it was). Manager took $ 19.19 off the bill…25%. Eh… when you tell me that the food shouldn’t have come out that way, 2 steaks were overcooked and the salmon looked small, I don’t know…25% didn’t even cover one of the filets. We’re from out of town as many who probably eat here are because of the location(by an outlet mall), but I’m reviewing so that anyone wondering if they should visit should reconsider and perhaps choose a different establishment.

Service is awful. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed, and the place was not full. One kid’s item was rung up and not brought out, refills were requested and not brought out. Manager seemed… not interested.

We stopped here to avoid hurricane Arthur. The wait was short, the staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Our waitress recommended the peach tea and it was very refreshing! The steaks we ordered were perfectly cooked! Our waitress was excellent, there when we needed her and checked regularly but wasn’t hovering. I would totally recommend this location! It is also very close to a few hotels and the outlets.

I actually got food poisoning from the clam chowder. I’m going to open with that so you can understand from the beginning that this is the worst Outback Steakhouse I have ever been to and I will never return. I had had an amazing day and thought to myself, «what could end this day perfectly?» My answer was to take myself to Outback Steakhouse for a nice quiet dinner alone. I began with a nice chilled martini and the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The mushrooms were okay, but even they tasted a bit off. I decided to switch to beer, ordering a nice large Stella Artois, one of my favorites, and the cheese fries.(For the record, I like to try a lot of things when I know I’m going to write a review in a place like this… I’m a big guy and I can certainly put a lot away, but I always end up taking a lot of things home.) Anyway, no complaints on the beer, but my cheese fries were overcooked. I told my waitress when I arrived I would be there for some time as I was working and amusing myself on my phone as I gingerly poked at appetizers and enjoyed my drinks, but that I would be continuously ordering drinks, food, etc. I asked for a glass of water that took an extremely long time to arrive and despite my consistence in ordering items my waitress’ presence was virtually non existent. After some time I had a bowl of the clam chowder, something I had tried in the past and was amazed at how good it was. It didn’t seem very hot when she brought it out and despite something telling me that it was off, I suppose my judgement was impaired by the drinks. But it was definitely turned. I couldn’t finish it despite not being full. I then had the usual medium rare Ribeye, loaded baked potato, and salad that one gets at a steakhouse. The steak was cooked well instead of medium, the potato was dry and shrivelled with virtually nothing in the way of the toppings I paid extra for, and the salad… my lettuce wasn’t even all green so I didn’t touch it. About halfway into the steak I started to feel poorly. I beckoned my waitress to the table, let her know I needed the check and to get these things to go. I took my potato, over half a steak, some bread, and most of the cheese fries I ordered home, but after getting so sick with food poisoning, every bit of it went into the trash. To recap: Overpriced drinks and food, slow service and inattentive staff, food prepared incorrectly, and food poisoning from the clam chowder. I will definitely never visit this establishment again and I would recommend the same for you! –C

Not ready for lunch. Took the family to this Outback for lunch. Even though it was open for an hour, the restaurant was not ready for customers. It took 30 minutes to get the free bread and drinks. Another 15 minutes for the cold soup to arrive. They brought another cold soup as a replacement. The third bowl finally arrived hot after almost an hour. The only saving grace was the flood quality. Its outback, its almost always good. Management definitely has some issues to fix.

After seeing a few of the reviews here, I just had to post and give Outback a few props… We had some friends passing through and decide to meet at Outback. I was slightly hesitant, because I know that the outlet crowd can make the wait times very long. We arrived at about 5:20 and the place was packed. However, even with our group of 11 people, we were seated by 5:45. Perfect! Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. The manager was making the rounds at the tables to ensure a pleasant experience. I have to say that my platter of filet and shrimp didn’t look all that attractive(a bit skimpy actually) but tasted great! The filet was cooked perfectly. My husbands lamb, ordered rare, was also cooked just right(and as a chef, he should know!) My daughter’s french onion soups was scrumptious. Everyone’s food looked delicious, actually, and the timing was great. Overall, a very good experience for a chain restaurant in a super high traffic shopping area. Nice work, Outback… keep on truckin!
