My fiancé and I came in on Saturday(2÷9÷13) and were looking at mattresses. We’ve been looking for months. We narrowed it down to a couple we liked and asked Jeanne if there would be a sale for President’s Day and the prices lowered. She wasn’t sure as she said she isn’t told until she comes in that day if something will be on sale so we decided to go back to Sears and take a look a couple of mattresses we’d narrowed it down to THERE. Sears said they WOULD be having a sale and that they could also match whatever price we found at any other place. We waited a week. After getting the newspaper on 2÷16÷13 and seeing that Reese’s DID have a sale on the mattress we were particularly interested in(Bellagio at Home), I phoned Jeanne to ask about delivery cost and she indicated it was $ 35 delivery fee but that she could see what she could do about getting that absorbed so we could get the mattress, box spring and queen frame. I told her I’d send my fiancé down later for one last try out on the mattress and maybe she’d know something then about delivery. When my fiancé went to speak with her, she informed him the Bellagio at Home mattress was NOT on sale but that she could knock $ 30 off plus the delivery fee. While that is very nice, I was very upset and felt very misled from the ad. They have exactly TWO Bellagio at Home mattresses(at least on the floor) and the one he said we wanted was the one NOT going to be on sale? Despite the ad? Plus the one we wanted(Guardini) was not even in stock and would take at least two weeks to order. Which would be doable IF we’d had the sale price honored. Jeanne then offered to sell him the floor model which was exactly the OPPOSITE of Sears who said they don’t sell their floor models because of all the abuse and gross things people do on them. Needless to say, after coming in a second time with cash in hand and expecting a sale to be honored, we walked out empty handed and unhappy. We will not be back a third time.
