This is probably one of the best in the area, and especially best for the size of the surrounding area. I went to the one in Suffolk around Bennetts Creek, a couple in Chesapeake and they were so anemic compared to this one. There are usually over 50 vendors a week. Where else can you get a nice gourmet pizza, some jewelry for mom, and adopt a kitten in one felled swoop? It’s worth a trip into downtown Smithfield on a Saturday morning. It’s a dog friendly atmosphere. Please go!

I haven’t been to this Farmer’s Market since the summer of 2014 and I would check to see when it is back in operation. My family is vegan and I took my kids there to see what they had. First of all, the vendors are extremely nice. A man was slicing up cantaloupes and my kids ate enough free cantaloupe that I felt obliged to buy one. They had music playing, local produce and honey all over the place, plants, yard sale items, and local crafts. The place was packed the day we went there but I found a parking space in the lot across the street. For what I thought would be a quick out an in ended up being a nice couple hour trip with the kids.

Charmingly Romantik Bazaar and Farmers Market! ART imitates Art! Metropolis has Nothing on this! Wood-Fired Pizza’s, Sandwiches, Jellies, Jams, Salsa, Woodworks, HandBags Shoulder Bags and all kinds of Crafts… Plants and some produce, though when we went 4-26-2014 this«Farmers» Market was light on Produce! Still a Blast! Leave it to my Brother to find activities everyone enjoys! Lots of Fun!
