This place was ok. We just had to get food and didn’t want to spend to much… so we pick here food was ok… could be better but it’s a buffet so what you expect. I have had better ones before. It’s a small town so I don’t expect much.

Don’t do it!!! Really bad. Worst ever. The cream in cream puffs was hard??? The clams full of sand. The rest was below average.

Extremely cheap food… But you get what you pay for. There were some questionable meats/entrees but overall it’s not HORRIBLE. The place is a little bit worn down but I’m guessing the lack of aesthetic upkeep allows them to keep their prices low. Service is nice. Not too many complaints. Only 3 stars just because of the overall quality of the food. Still recommended if you want to eat a lot for cheap though. Nothing too fancy.

We went here for the first time today for lunch. The garbage can outside was overflowing, one of the doors on one side of the entrance was broken, and as far as I could tell the two doors on the other side were not working either. The restaurant is an all you can eat buffet that requires you to pay prior to being seated. The furniture and décor had definitely seen better days. Rug old and worn, furniture scratched and pleather on the seats cracked. The waitress that assisted us was very nice and on top of our drinks/empty plates. The food was your typical chinese buffet of mediocre quality. Some of it wasn’t hot, but some of it had pretty decent flavor such as the salmon. Towards the end of our visit, they did put out fresh pepper chicken which was very tasty. Dessert was about what you would see at any buffet. Overall, it wasn’t bad for the price($ 15 for two adults and a 18 month old) and honestly we might give it another try should we be in the Smithfield area again.

Buffet has lots of choices and the hibachi was very fresh with Steak, chicken, and beef to choose from. I loved all the different sushi! The staff worked very hard to make sure that the buffet was always stocked and our waitress was very attentive making sure we never ran out of drinks and taking away finished plates. The only negative feedback that I had was that the cashier made me feel uncomfortable when I told him the age of my children, as if I were lying to try and get a dollar off my meal. Other than that I highly recommend this hibachi and I will return when back in the area.

Worth your $$$ to eat here. The exceptional food more than compensate the cost. Try the fried fish it’s lightly battered and flaky.

Food is ok my wife complained of how cold the food was. Good selection though plenty of choices on the bar. Overall good experience though we probably won’t be back.

Now Re-Opened: 2014 This place seems to have a history of opening, being somewhat okay, then going south fairly quickly. To long time residents, you’ll remember this used to be a Ryan’s southern country buffet originally. Now in the restaurant’s most recent incarnation it is once again, for the third time I believe, a Chinese Buffet. It re-opened in the middle of June 2014. I wasn’t put off by the crowds of people inside as it was peak lunch hours on a Saturday when I arrived, however, other than being«new» I did not experience anything that will contribute to my going back. I was really disappointed. 1. You have to pay as soon as you enter, before you are seated. Something about taking my money before I can even see what it’s going towards made me uncomfortable and I immediately regretted having already paid once I saw the Buffet. 2. Food was fresh because it was so busy they seemed to be constantly running out of items. This is both good and bad, because I noticed a serious lack of quality possibly based on them having to get the food out so quickly. 3. One thing I thought strange, I had ordered a coke, they brought me a diet coke by mistake, after flagging down a waiter and explaining the error, rather than simply replacing my beverage I had to wait while he brought a manager over, explain the problem again, then had the beverage replaced. They resolved the issue, but it should hardly require the manager to pour a soda. It reminded me of the old Monty Python dirty fork sketch. 4. In regards to the food, it was LAZY at best. Johnston County and Smithfield specifically deserves a higher level of Chinese Trough feeding than this. The cheese wontons were thin and greasy, the chicken wings were not chicken wings but actual tasteless fried chicken pieces, food labeled incorrectly on Buffet, Hong Kong Chicken had no flavor, too many items that simply weren’t even Chinese food. The General Tso’s Chicken tasted like the frozen kind you buy in a frozen bag from SAM’s Club, toss in a fryer, and cover in a microwaveable sauce. I never grab pizza or desert at a Chinese place but after being so disappointed by everything else I had a slice and some vanilla ice cream. All in all, if you want a Chinese buffet, and you’re not willing to go much further than this place you might like No. 1. Chinese in Selma a bit better. Personally, I’ll just stick to the take out places and eat at home. There are just too many options in this area to settle for something like this. Either they make some changes, or I’m afraid once the«newness» wears off of this place it will follow the same path as every other restaurant to share the building. –C

The placed smelled. I’m guess it was the old carpet. The food was okay, tasteless basically biggest down fall. Even though the place was basically empty, they grouped everyone in a small part of the dinning room. Luckily, I got set next to a group of Mexicans that had 2 yelling screaming kids. Their solution was to let the kids run free.

Really good for the price. They had both Chinese menu items and some regular buffet items. The sushi bar is very good. Except for the crazy sushi chef who told me «thank you» & then cut me off it was really all you can eat. My daughter was excited that they had the Japanese white sauce. We will definitely go back.
