Schlotzsky’s

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now, but not a lot of locations are accessible to truck drivers, which my husband is one. I saw this one was located next to a truck stop, so we stopped here. The menu has a great variety of stuff and the food was awesome.
Why the three star rating, you ask? The wait was painfully long for what we ordered. I got a flatbread and salad and my husband got a sandwich and soup. We waited about 10 minutes and there was only two people ahead of us. Another thing is I ordered the chicken chipotle pesto flatbread, and there wasn’t any pesto on it. I think they got pesto confused with avocado because that’s what came on the flatbread. It was still good, though.

Great food, great surprise! Beats going to the fast food places! I highly recommend this place!!! We enjoyed a flatbread pizza.

Hidden little gem in the middle of nowhere.
We were driving from Nashville to Chicago and decided to stop by to get gas. We were originally thinking of getting McD but since we were already getting gas we went inside. There is also a grocery store inside.
The restaurant also sells Cinnabon and Carvel ice cream. The corner is set up nicely with a few booths and tables. The food is really good. It’s on par with Panera I would say. Much better than your average fast food place. All the workers were very friendly and kind.

Great sandwiches, close to $ 7 for a medium, but a medium is quite large. This location is inside a Shell/​IGA store and also sells Cinnabon.
