Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown

Brought my car in for a safety recall. The car was not starting sometimes. They claimed to have completed the recall, but a little research showed that the recall involves moving some box located under the car, to inside and under the back seat. I looked in the bottom, and the box was still there. I assumed, maybe they left it there and placed a new one under the seat and just reran the wires… Wrong… Under the seat was empty… I tried to get it fixed and even told them I would not complain about anything, I just need the recall actually done. They said its in the computer as completed, and therefore it was done already.
Even with all the evidence, they would not just concede that it was an error and fix the recall.
They charged me around $ 125 to get my car back, having done NO work to it, and refused to allow me to pay by credit card. They even went as far as telling me they didn’t have a credit card machine, although I could see it from where I was standing.
I ended up paying by check ;)
I traded the car in about 3 days later.

Brought my vehicle in for service and they were top notch from begining to end. I was able to make my appointment on line and when I arrived I was greeted promptly and proffesionally. My car was serviced and repaired the same day, it couldn’t have been better.
