This is a chain of breakfast restaurants but unlike other breakfast chains, it has a nice vibe to it. The food was excellent, we went there three times in three days and tried something different each day. Each day, it was as good as the day before. It is nice to get egg white omelettes without extra charges for egg whites. The pancakes were excellent as well and came with a little compote in addition to warm syrup. The service was very good and the waitress provides to go cups of coffee as well which was very nice. They were doing a pretty strong business by 9am on the weekend but they didn’t seem pushy to turn their tables. Looking forward to trying another location in the dc area.

After a couple of months and about 6 – 7 visits, I am ready to give this morning café a review. First impression of the café, I thought it was warmed and cozy. Sitting area was inviting; although I thought it was a little small. When busy on a Sunday u can look forward to a 20 – 25 mins wait. They have an app u can download, so u can put ur name in. Menu was surprisingly amazing with many options. I’ve tried so many dishes now and they are all great. I highly recommended this morning café if you like to eat breakfast.

Super clean restaurant, fresh local food, nice environment. They have perfected their menu items, and execute them properly, for consistent quality meals each and every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, even though this is a fairly new establishment to Smyrna. If your server isn’t sure on an answer, give them the chance to ask a manger and get you the info you are needing. I love the pancakes and the Bacado Omelet. Everyone looks happy to be there and serve you. This is a new and trendy spot, so it is possible there will be a wait if you go on a weekend day. They drop the ticket quickly after your meal is delivered, and you check out up front, which is a plus, not to rush you, but so you have the freedom to pay and move on if need be.(Lunch hour). The Kale Tonic and Day Glow are fabulous fresh juices made very day in house. First watch has been around since 1983, they have it down to a science. Give them a chance, and have N open mind. Everything they do, they do for good reason.

I was excited to give this place a try given the lack of options in the Smyrna area and after seeing the reviews. My first visit was during lunch hours. I ordered a Market Veggie sandwich. It was tasty and had a good variety of flavors. My second visit was for a quick breakfast alone to satisfy an eggs benedict craving I was having. Everything about the eggs benedict seemed fine, except for the fact that it was barely lukewarm when it hit the table. It was the only thing I ordered so I’m not sure how that happened. Definitely disappointing. The servers are friendly and quick. I’ll probably give this place another shot, but I don’t think I can handle another lukewarm eggs benedict.

Very nice looking place and service. Coffee lovers beware. The coffee is not complementary. Still, it’s a big place, food portions are quite decent and the food itself is tasty. A good place to start your breakfast, do lunch or brunch.

The environment is nicely decorated and clean. But I’ve been there three times now and the food is just«meh». Won’t be going back.

Smryna, cool and hip? Three words that typically do not go together, but First Watch is bringing a whole new vibe. Our breakfast was delicious, but it was made better by the environment. First Watch is a chain and I imagine they all look somewhat the same, but it’s a cool chain with large, cozy tables, an open kitchen concept, and a slight coffee shop vibe. The restaurant was clean and the service on point. I went with a table of 9, and 8 of us enjoyed the experience. That’s a win, no? I had the avocado toast and it was perfect. The bread had a crunchy exterior that gave way to a soft center, the avocado had hints of lemon and salt. It was light, yet flavorful. My husband had the most amazing kale salad. But don’t let kale and avocado scare you. They had plenty of other options like pancakes, French Toast, breakfast meats, and egg-y things. If you aren’t into breakfast, they also offer lunch. Would I eat here again? Heck yeah. Cracker Barrel or First Watch? It depends on how I want to feel for the rest of the day. CB may be more indulgent, more comforting where FW is a better atmosphere with fresher options. On a daily basis? First Watch. On special occasions? Cracker Barrel. Though I did try a bite of the French Toast at First Watch and it was hands-on down better than Cracker Barrel’s. If First Watch can add hashbrown casserole to their menu, we might have a winner.

4.5 stars! This is the perfect brunch spot! I love all of the healthy options. We’ve been here twice already, and the food does not disappoint. You can taste the freshness. The location is convenient for me. And I love the farmhouse feel of the restaurant. The food does take a little bit longer to come out. Other than that and the fact that it’s not open past 2 pm, its a great restaurant I am happy to have locally.

I’m from the KC area which has many First Watch restaurants(which are all great!). This one was no exception. It was more updated which was nice — and the staff was very friendly/helpful. The brunch was really good and came in nice-sized portions.

This place is fantastic! Service is wonderful. Everyone is smiling, friendly, and happy. The food is outstanding. I had lemon ricotta pancakes and a side of pork sausage. Delicious! Everything is clean. Kitchen is open, and it is not noisy at all. We will definitely come back here.

First time into this café. I walked in and was immediately seated. The waitress was there before I set down and asked me what I would like to drink. When she returned with my coffee(2 minutes), I ordered«The Works» omelette. As I waited for the food, I looked around and noticed that the café was about ¾ full and everything was neat and clean. The food arrived within 4 minutes, hot and looking delicious. The waitress was ready and willing to help me with any request for condiments. The food tasted very good and was more than I needed to eat. This café’s service was excellent and I have no complaints with the service, taste of the food, waitresses, friendliness, cleanliness, or price. Try this café, it works great for me.

Food is delicious and the ingredients are fresh. I’ve been there two times, early in the morning and at noon for brunch and both times the place was packed but wait time was short. Quality of food is just fantastic. Love this place!

OMG! This place is awesome. The food is excellent and the people are great! The breakfast is great and also the lunches… I have tried them both the breakfast and lunch; you can’t go wrong here with food, service, and atmosphere. Only downer(very minor) is restrooms. Its only one for each male and female. You have to wait if occupied; need more restrooms — lol! Other than that this place is perfect!

I’ve been twice and was truly impressed. What great new option for Smyrna. I was in and out, but didn’t feel rushed. Healthy food option, perfect portion sizes. Service was welcoming and delightful. Food was delivered fresh and hot… oh I forgot to mention delicious! Usually you see a place like this in Brentwood or Franklin, but I love that’s it’s in Smyrna!!! New breakfast /brunch spot!

Went to this place for the first time yesterday for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict which is my favourite breakfast and it’s hard to find around here period it was so good period everything was reasonably priced. the coffee tasted amazing! My husband tried the Day Glo drink which was a juice blend, it was very nice very refreshing! It did take us a little longer than we thought to get our food, but I do not think that’s normal. when we checked out we actually had five dollars off our ticket for the wait so they recognised it without us even having to point it out. We will definitely go here again and support this business!

Been there once for breakfast and three times for lunch. No problems, no disappointments. Food and service were great every time. Love the ham and gruyère sandwich w/tomato soup. Half sandwich is still a lot of sandwich. Breakfast was also good, even on a Saturday. Short wait, but very comfortable seating area. Eggs, bacon, little potatoes, and toast fixed just as I like them. Coffee is really good. This is now our«go to» place.

Walked in around 1:00 and was seated immediately. My drink order was in, in seconds. The watermelon juice is very clean and tasty. My waitress was super friendly and attentive. I ordered a turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich with the butternut squash bisque. Both were devastatingly delicious. Happytummy happy customer!!! I will definitely be back for more!!!

I heard through a local group that a brand new breakfast place had opened today and decided to check it out. When I got there, I realized it was a soft open by invitation only and the grand opening wasn’t until Monday. The folks at First Watch were kind enough to accommodate us anyway! We had a short wait, but complimentary coffee in the lobby helped the time pass super quickly for us. Once we sat down we were greeted quickly by a friendly server and told all about the specials. She took our drink orders and came back quickly. My son chose the kid’s chocolate chip pancake and I chose the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata. Our food took no time at all and was delivered to us with impeccable presentation. The chocolate chip pancake was enormous, and my son was just thrilled with it. The food tasted as good as it looked– fresh and cooked to perfection. My frittata had a unique flavor with the smoked salmon, roasted tomatoes and onions and cream cheese and chive sauce. I love smoked salmon and this dish did not disappoint! I tasted my son’s chocolate chip pancake also, and it very well may be the best pancake I’ve ever had! First Watch made a great«first» impression, and we will be back with frequency. Welcome to Smyrna!
