A friend flew in from out of town, so we decided to treat ourselves to an afterwork round of 9-hole«best ball.» Three of us are local and brought our clubs. Since we were playing 2vs2(teams) «best ball», we let our friend from out of town use our clubs. On Hole 2, we were quickly stopped by a Marshall who smugly educated us on the rules of the course. We explained our friend flew in the day before and we were playing teams«best ball». We paid for four players, 2 carts, a box of balls, and four drinks… and were simply unaware each player had to have their own clubs. This was a last-minute, spontaneous afterwork function and we hadn’t played in a while. We thought it’d be fun to go play. The Marshall smugly informed us it was«only $ 8 or $ 9 at the clubhouse» and sarcastically laughed and said, «don’t do this to me.» As if we intentionally spent $ 100+…only to try and cheat them out of «$ 8 or $ 9.» I guess that’s how much it was to rent a bag or clubs. It just set a bad tone from the start, when we were just trying to wind down after work and treat a friend from out of town to a round of golf on a Friday afternoon and have some fun. Then, the Marshall reminds us that if we’re slow, to let the faster parties play through. As if we wouldn’t? They didn’t space out the tee times, knowing we had 4 in our party, and quickly stacked up parties of 1 and 2 behind us, who caught up quickly and we had to wait for them to play through. On top of that, you’re wedged in between Sam Ridley Pkwy and the Airport. Not the quietest or most comfortable course. We were courteous to the Marshall and to the other players who we let play through, but to spend $ 100+ to relax and play golf on Friday after work, only to be hassled over $ 10 that was an honest mistake, and then rushed because they stacked people up, and then the ambient noise… it was awesome hanging out with friends, going golfing after work on a Friday… but next time… and any time after that… our friend’s get-togethers and company functions will be held elsewhere.

I’m not a golfer but because I enjoy the beauty and tranquility of a golf course, I often ride with my husband while he plays on the weekends. Today we tried this course for the first time and I am incredibly disappointed. The ‘fairway’ looked like a cow pasture and it was almost impossible to tell where the it ended and the rough began. The greens were apparently ridiculously slow, as was the overall pace of play. Four holes in we decided that it was worth losing the $ 35 greens fee to just cut our loses and not be subjected to such a terribly manicured course for one more second. Maybe they’ll invest that $ 35 in fertilizer. Better yet, weed killer. What a waste of space!

Absolutely the worst excuse for a golf course I have ever seen. The fairways look like cow pastures, all they need is a couple of goats and donkeys out there grazing to make it complete. The greens are slow bumpy and very slow. Don’t waste the $ 46 for playing here instead go out by yourself a good bottle of bourbon or a couple of cases of beer have some buddies over and watch golf on TV.

I’m new to foot golf and this is one of two courses I’ve played so take this review with a grain of salt. The guy in the pro shop is very friendly and helpful. I like how the 9 hole foot golf course is laid out. It’s a bit of a walk from the first to second and again from the eighth to ninth but this is why I like this course. I’m really there for the exercise and to visit with my fellow foot golfer. Two can finish the course in roughly an hour(minus any slackers). Well worth the $ 7.50 to play. I brought my own #5 soccer ball but if you need one they will rent you a ball for $ 3. It has turned into a weekly event that I look forward to playing. A family of four would do well here. Bring water though. Anymore than 4 and you would probably be better to play the 9 hole course at the VA in Murfreesboro which is a much shorter course. Small children would do better with a shorter course.

I play this couse a lot since it is close to where I live. Always have a good time and they offer a par 3 course too.
